Everything! The accommodations where spectacular! The bed was really comfortable. The location of the cottage nestled in the forest was so peaceful. There are many fun things to do in the area, hiking trails, swimming, venturing into nearby towns and taking in all that nature has to offer. Lisa and Ian provided everything we needed for a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this off the grind oasis! I will definitely visit Barkview Hideaway again!

Fantastic place. Much bigger than I expected. The location was amazing as well, so close to so many hiking paths and lakes. The house also had tons of amenities such as cooking and bathroom supplies that I did not expect.

The room was spacious, clean, quiet and had a magnificent view of a lovely lake. The room was bright and cheerful and had high speed internet. We could hear loons calling, spring peepers and an early cricket. The staff was quick, friendly and attentive. This place is an absolute jewel! Hard to believe, but it’s inexpensive, too!

The room was exceptionally clean, including the sheets. The bathroom was spotless, which my wife appreciated. The sitting area at the back with the Eddison lights was a nice touch. A towel specifically to clean off the motorcycle is located inside the front door, so we did not have to sit on seats wet from the morning dew. The proprietor was pleasant to deal with, and made us feel welcomed, even though we arrived late in the evening.

The location was superb. Very clean, which is important. Very nice view of the lake. Chairs provided at the lake and at the front door of our unit was most appreciated.

The staff were great and the coffee and muffins in the morning were a nice touch. The facilities were very clean and the bed was very comfy. The locations was great and there was no excessive street noise.
