The friendliness and warmth of Sheila and Shia. The 'tiny' dogs lol. The couch in the room is the most comfy of any and all I've had in 3 months of Philippines travel! Cashew heaven! Sheila cooking all fresh local food. Delicious. The room is immaculate and has all comforts needed.

I don't have enough words to describe how kind the owner, Bon, is! I hope she will read this review! First of all, if you want to escape the craziness and mass-tourism area of El Nido, Nagtabon is the perfect spot to completely detach and relax. This is also a good stopping point if you want to visit the underwater river. We loved the cabin so close to the water, we loved the almost private beach, and we were so lucky to be there during some bio-luminescence (first time I saw bioluminescence while walking on wet sand - it was phenomenal). Don't be surprised if you do see some trash at the main entrance of the beach - it's the only place they collect it and trash disposal is still a huge problem in islands like the Philippines. The owners, a German-Filipino couple, are helpful and friendly. The children are so well educated, polite, and sweet. Bon cooked for us every night, and I was amazed how such simple dishes could taste so good! Breakfast was a little unclear in terms of timing and option, but I believe it was our mistake - I wasn't sure what to ask without sounding too demanding. I am sure that if you clearly ask for a time and options, everything will be fine! It was funny to see that their father (/father-in-law), a pure German man, was living there with them - Nagtabon definitely does not run in German style! Bon even gave us a ride to catch the "shared private bus" to El Nido - and she drove all the way back to bring my phone as soon as I realized that I accidentally left it in her car after she dropped us at the terminal. I was so grateful! Overall definitely a place I would recommend!

We had 2BR & mini house for our family, 65, 61, 38, 14 yrs old. Situated at one end of beautiful Nagtabon beach, we had the most amazing time. This is back to nature, basic beach accommodation as detailed in description, run by the exceptional Cassy & colleague who couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasurable. Beach bars along the bay serve good food & drinks til 6pm then it's time to amuse yourselves. Cassy provided lovely beach bonfire with marshmallows to toast which did compensate my grandson for limited wifi. Our 2 night stay was perfect!

Casey and her friend made us feel like home and provide us 5 star services.We spent 5 days where. Very nice beach, we found lots of fireflies on the tree after the sunset.

Beautiful location just off the beach. Friendly staff. Basic accommodation for the price however we were staying over a weekend and they only had one room left having booked last minute.
