The accommodation was extra special as it was so homely. The attention to detail and extras not mentioned in booking details, were over and above our expectations. These included good quality soft sheets, a sofa to sit on. Dining table, dining chairs and crockery provided. Television in the room. Decorative flowers and ornaments in the room. Excellent room service for breakfast with great attention to detail. Takeaway breakfast made for our trip to Horton Plains.
There is a terraced area at the front of the accommodation where you can sit outside. A small delightful garden full of flowers and birdlife. We sat in the garden to drink our welcome pot of coffee and tea. Assistance from the owner was given to organise the tuk tuk to Horton Plains. Also, on our first night the owner guided us into town through a shortcut. We thought he was going to point us in the right direction but he shone a torch for us for the whole distance. So helpful!
The breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. There is a newly updated room that has the addition of a lovely fireplace which will be a real bonus in the cooler season. It looks like a room in a boutique hotel! Excellent value for money!

The location was amazing, set in the middle of acres of tea plantations. Peaceful, scenic and refined this is an amazing property with amazing staff who could not have done any more to make our stay just great. The breakfast was very high quality with impeccable service and a beautiful view through the open windows looking out on to the countryside. We also had dinner both nights of our stay and again the standard was very high. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Incredibly lovely and warm host family. We were greeted by Ajith and Priya with tea and biscuits and immediately connected with the family and the other guests.
In the evening they cooked the most delicious dinner for us and the breakfast was really yummy with different local specialties. We learned many facts about the current situation in Sri Lanka which was really interesting.
The big room we slept in was recently renovated, we got two warm blankets and there was even a hairdryer and a place to prepare tea which was super nice as it gets cold in the evenings.

Great location for walking along the railway line, making it very good if catching the train for the scenic trip Nanu Oya to Ella.or to Kandy. He enabled us to check in a little earlier and gave us a few ideas of things to do, such as walking to the local waterfall. He would have cooked an evening meal for us but we chose a place in the village where there were a lot of locals eating.
We spent a night at Ansi Villa, where we found an extremely hospitable atmosphere and very accommodating hosts. They prepared local dishes for dinner, with eight different preparations, showing great kindness and friendliness towards us. The room was clean and welcoming, and the next morning we were served a hearty breakfast. If you want a family experience and to eat homemade local food, this is the place to be. The owners were loving and even offered to keep our backpacks after checkout, allowing us to explore the city.
We had an amazing stay at Ansi Villa and couldn't recommend it enough! The family are so lovely, friendly and accommodating. Our room and the villa was extremely clean, the bed was very comfy and we had the BEST food here. They cooked us dinner which was delicious and the breakfast was amazing. The accommodation is very close to Nanu Oya train station (5 min walk) and there is a couple of beautiful waterfalls nearby the villa which the family recommended so we had a lovely walk before catching our train.
The owner and his family are very nice, they stayed up late for us because our train got delayed. It a very good value for the money. I would highly recommend Ansii Villa , on top of that few minutes ride from the station.

The family were so warm and welcoming, providing tea and cake on arrival, and cooking the BEST Sri Lankan breakfast (which was included).
The room was perfect - clean with a very comfortable bed and excellent Wi-Fi.
The location is fantastic. Only a 10 minute walk to the train station.

Very lovely Place! It’s on the outskirts of the village and very quiet, lovely view of the area. The owner are super sweet, ofer a free shuttle service and the dinner and breakfast were delicious homecooked meals 🥰. Bed very comfortable and everything is super clean. Anytime again!
