The staff there are very friendly. They always greeted us with bright smiles, that make us feel right at home. We forgot to close our car window, and one of the gentlemen kindly reminded us, thanks again.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious. And service was great.
It’s a great location, just about 10-minute walk to Bowness Pier and the town center. All in all, it was a delightful and very cost-effective stay in Bowness. We will definitely choose to stay here again if we return to Bowness.
There’s an Asian food restaurant nearby run by a Vietnamese family. The food there is absolutely fabulous, and the staff are very friendly. It’s definitely worth a try.

The double bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom was so classy! Old-fashioned transistor radio so retro. Using your palm to activate keypad to open door was the first for us. Good suggestions given by owner for walks.

The entire stay was relaxing and hassle free. The village is friendly and useful for shops etc. Location for the lakes is ideal. We are going to return to this place and would recommend it to our friends.
Good location in the middle of the village. Plenty of space in the property. Good sized bedrooms and well equipped kitchen.
Quiet location with river at the end of the garden.
Lovely to see fells surrounding the village from the house windows. It's a nice place to walk around.
Very spacious twin-room and living room, with kitchen off it.
House very clean and nicely decorated.
Lovely little place, Anne was a wonderful host and she welcomed us and our dog with open arms, nice little breakfast too. 10 minute walk into the small village of Staveley but 5 minutes either way on train to Windermere or Kendal. Bus service available too. We had a great time and the cottage more than served its purpose.
Very welcoming and friendly host. Location was in a quiet village but only a short distance to all the Lake District attractions that you would want to visit.
