From start to finish our hosts couldn’t do enough for us. After showing us to our beautiful room and explaining how to get inside should we be late returning from our evening celebration they checked we were having breakfast the following morning and booked a taxi to collect us that evening. We had a lovely chat with them and heard about what they had done since taking over the property a year ago. It felt so comfortable and friendly, having a couple of drinks in the bar with the locals, prior to going out. Breakfast was ample and beautifully cooked. And to cap it all………when we arrived home I realised we had forgotten to empty a couple of drawers. John the owner kindly arranged for the items to be sent on to us . We will definitely be returning. Thank you Rushcart Inn for a lovely stay.

The local reservoir walk is fabulous. Flat easy walk just over 2.5km or an easy 30mins. Plenty of pubs in the village to have a wonder round, mostly dig friendly ( apart from the Bridge) the locals are very friendly. The food at the Lion was amazing, and I didn't feel like it was just your average pub grub. Roaring open fire, which really had that country pub feel. There are plenty of tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast on Sunday morning is served from 10am and well worth the wait. Staff were great, friendly, and attentive .

Location is my kind of location, nice and quiet, country village. Away from town centre and noise. Inn has a lovely, warm, welcoming feel and that is thanks to the friendliness of owners. Very helpful and accommodating. Like that food is locally sourced.

The location is breathtakingly beautiful. The pub is welcoming and cosy and we were really sad that we were just there to sleep and couldn't hand around for dinner as it looked and smelt really good. The room was modern and comfortable. And breakfast from a menu was also very tasty, we were spoilt for choice. If you get chance to explore, the village has some lovely shops and the Fleece which is a 5 minute drive away has an awesome terrace overlooking the valley.
