Fred was very friendly and the room was very clean. I should add that this was not the room I booked as when Fred arrived at the property he advised that there was no heating and no hot water so I would need to be in one of his other properties called Chudleigh. I suppose I should be grateful I was offered a place to stay given his boiler issues at Exning.

Lovely quiet location. The cabin was really nice and very spacious.
The place is amazing, so beautiful, tranquil, peaceful, didn't want to leave..
The grounds are stunning, lodges are so pretty, loved the wildlife, golf, badminton, boats, the local village is lovely.. it's honestly stunning!
Yvonne is a wonderful host. The location is a lovely, quiet village that is a picturesque view of England. She also makes a wonderful breakfast. You couldn't ask for more.
I stayed here once before, a few year ago, so for the most part I knew what to expect.
The rooms are self contained stable rooms located at the back of the main building away from the pub.
The Bell does not offer breakfast (except by special arrangement when booking) however, they do a decent evening menu in the bar. The staff were all very friendly including the bar manager (who also checked me in upon arrival) and the waitress.
The food is good quality and the venue seems to attract local residents from the village as well.
We had a very enjoyable stay in an excellent property. Breakfast was good and the lunch we had one day was excellent, the gentleman who served us was very knowlegdeable about the menu and the wine. The bar staff were very helpful and even provided me with a jug of oat milk for the room. Location in a beautiful village with many footpaths was a bonus. We will definitely return.
Lovely location opposite a village Green with walks along a river. The bar and restaurant are welcoming and comfortable. The dog friendly bedrooms are in an extension, which requires a very short walk outside to get to the main building. The room was comfortable with a super king size bed and nice shower room.
It was in a lovely village and although by the main road through the village it was still quiet. The room itself was really spacious ,airy and plenty of natural light.
Lovely place, grade 2 listed, in a tiny village!
Far enough from the city buzz to get a proper rest before the tasks ahead!
Shame we didn't get to enjoy the bar downstairs as it was closing soon after we arrived.
