What a beautiful old pub in a beautiful setting. Friendly, welcoming staff. Super clean and comfortable room over looking a farm. The village is very quiet, we enjoyed drinks in front of the fire in the pub. We had an evening meal and breakfast, both were superb. What a gem this place is 😍

Quaint country pub tucked in a quiet village. Friendly bar locals, and good food . Friendly staff, and landlady Eiran is an attentive and welcoming host. Situated in a quiet village accessed by fairly narrow winding roads, but worth the trip. Food excellent room clean and comfortable , and as it is accessed by a separate corridor at the rear of the pub there was none of the intrusive noise from a bar which you can sometimes get with country pubs

I loved the fact it was a pub in the middle of a village in the middle of nowhere surrounded by farms and fields of sheep

The Hawk & Buckle is everything that a country pub should be: snug, welcoming, friendly, with comfortable rooms and delicious food at a very reasonable price which is way above the norm for pub-grub these days, plus excellent service. Oh yes! and its in a lovely quiet village with wonderful views over unspoiled countryside down to the coast.

The Hawk and buckle is in a quiet little village close to where our grandson lives. It was a good base for visiting him and close to Abergele and Tweedmill shopping outlet. The food was lovely the room warm, spacious and a lovely view over fields with the sea in the background. The staff were warm and welcoming and there was no rush for us to check out .

Great village pub location, nice staff, good food, good beer on tap, and the Wednesday curry night is recommended! Obviously you need to be a confident driver to negotiate the small roads to get there, but it's well worth it.
