We spent 3 nights here and it was fantastic! Our room was modern, cosy and relaxing. We Loved the decor throughout the whole property as every little detail was thought about. The hosts were amazing, attentive and sweet, nothing was too much for them. The daily continental breakfast was perfect, Jackie and Greg were friendly, helpful and lovely to talk to and gave us so much advice on where to explore. They made our stay such a pleasure. The old bell is also in such a good location, we would highly recommend the old bell and will definitely be going back - we couldn’t fault our stay at all.

Absolutely fantastic lodge, it did what it said on the tin. The owners John and Karen were always there if you needed them. This is the best Sykes property that we have stayed at and will return.

The room was very stylish and exceptionally clean. We had a separate area for making drinks which was nice. The bathroom was very spacious and clean with a big bath and efficient shower. The breakfast was delicious with a good selection of meats, cheese, pastries and cereals. Our hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The B&B is situated in a beautiful village that is ideal for local attractions and towns.

The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The shower room was super. The outdoor space was lovely, although we didn't get to use it much in January, we guess it would be great to sit out there on a sunny day. Lesley and Trevor were very pleasant and welcoming and their welcome gift of wine, milk, biscuits etc was a nice touch and much appreciated. We visited the Union Jack pub next door, again cosy and welcoming. The local villagers were a great bunch of people, lots of laughs and chat.

The location was a little out of the way. Not really central to a village or a pub. Ok if you want absolute quiet. It was a little dated but comfortable enough for the short time we were there.

The milk, jam butter and coffee were welcome, and the cakes were a delightful and delicious bonus. It was great to be able to sit out in the garden. There was a lovely peaceful atmosphere to the place, with only the sound of birds singing. It was also very handy for the village pub, with friendly staff, excellent food, and a good range of drinks. We hope to be able to come back soon.
