Great for a large group of friends to stay. Managed to get all of us round the table. Plenty of hot water and we were warm despite the storm. We had everything we needed there.

A really nice clean hotel that we did stay at a few years ago but one we usually pass on our way to somewhere else. The property has definitely improved since our last stay. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was very good, and clearly popular. The breakfast in particular was outstanding. Highly recommended.

The location couldn’t have been better for the wedding we were attending just 200 yards down the road. The property/ room was lovely and clean, and there is a lovely little lounge for the rooms to share.

Excellent property. Easy to find and good access to Otterburn itself and Woodhill Hall wedding venue nearby. Excellent kitchen facilities with everything we could possibly need. A member of staff met us with a key as organised. It was lovely to find milk and eggs provided in the fridge. Beds were very comfortable and there was lots of hot water. All in all we had everything we could want.

The room was very cosy and comfy. The Inn is in a nice and quite village.
I had to leave early and they provided a good tray breakfast the night before.
Pretty little pub in a very tranquil village setting. Very clean and comfortable rooms, excellent food and hospitality. Would definitely recommend and visit again if I return to that area.
This is a beautiful old inn which has retained so much of its historic character. It's in a beautiful little village and out the back there are stunning views of the countryside. It's so peaceful there with very little through traffic. The staff are all lovely. Food is delicious. It's our second stay there and we want to return as soon as we can and stay longer (though see transport comment).
Lovely little pub in a small village near Kielder Water. Very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Room was very warm and the bed a bit soft. Very good evening meal and breakfast.
Be prepared to travel a bit for the coast(about 50 miles) and it’s plethora of quaint villages and towns. Seahouses, Craster(both have fish smokeries for kippers and smoked cod and haddock) Amble for fresh fish restaurants. There’s castles galore too!! Bamburgh, Warkworth and Alnwick to mention fabulous places to visit. Then Wallington Hall and Cragside both National Trust and worth a visit. Only 8 miles from Kielder Water too with its stunning scenery and walks.
the hollybush inn is in a small village about 5 miles from the main A road, easy to find, the inn was an old drovers inn, the owners were very nice, the room we had, the water head room, it had everything we wanted, we pre booked our evening meal, the portions were large, as was the breakfast. we only stayed for 1 night, but if we go back to Northumberland, we would definitely book a longer stay.
