The location- very close to good pub and not far from shops. The fact it was big enough for large group to be together. Great facilities provided- plenty toilet roll and things like salt, oil etc were available. Cookware ample and loved the aga keeping you warm. Plenty parking for us all. Great showers. Very thorough welcome pack.

Everything! The cottage is really nice, loved the fireplace on chilly evenings. Kitchen has all the equipment that we needed. Yvonne was always approachable and very helpful. The area is rather quiet and a bit off from the main touristic places which we liked. Dinnet is a great spot to start gorgeous tours through the national park which is stunningly beautiful- we totally fell in love with it.

We had a lovely stay in Ballater. First of all, the flat is so spacious which isn’t apparent in the photos. It is also lovely and warm - the heating works very well. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding and towels good quality. The kitchen is very well equipped and it all works well!
Finally, it is in a great location, a very short walk to the town centre, ie, 3 minutes! Off road parking in the drive is also a great bonus.

Very good sized property for multiple family/friends get together. We had 4 children age ranges 4-11 and they loved running around in and around the property. Great sized family kitchen with all the pots/pans/crockery and equipment required for self catering and cooking.
Seemed very good value for money- we had this property during the end of August- still summer holidays in England (think Scottish schools were just opening that week)
What an amazing find! This beautifully designed and decorated anciet Villa offers you everything you need for a relaxing gateway! Upon our arrival we were welcomed by Joyce, the incredible host of this amazing place, with hot tea and a delicious cake. Our room was super comfy and clean, the bed one of the best ever tried in a hotel: we slept like babies! and what a view it offers! Breakfast was spot on, with plenty of choices. We would’ve loved to stay one more night and we’d definitely come back.
It was a remote and peaceful getaway. There were villages nearby (within 30 min drive) with restaurants and cafes for lunch and dinner. It was also really dog friendly.
Great location on edge of Aboyne which is a very quiet village in a convenient position for exploring Royal Deeside.The Boat is just across a quiet road from the River Dee, and is a very popular pub for diners from round about, and deserves its good reputation for good food and service. bedroom was in an annexe, so no disturbance from noise from the bar, and parking very close to the room
