The host was extremely nice. He even invited me to his family’s wedding, gave me a private tour of the island. He made sure I feel comfortable and have a great time. Room was simple but more than sufficient. Warm water, clean sheets. Would go back here next time I go to Quan Lan.

The pick up and drop off at our Hanoi hotel was great. Loads of activities to do included Kayaking, hiking and biking, we were never bored. Louis was a great host and really looked after us. Plenty of food to eat. The boat docked in a quiet place and felt like we had the bay to ourselves, away from other boats. Room was a decent size. Vegetarians were taken care of. Towels were provided for the beach time.

Great host, woke up in te middle of the night to check us in. The place is decent, and we needed it just to rest from 3am to 10am, so perfect for that amount of time. Clean and very very quiet.
Professional from beginning to end, the food (as a vegetarian) was awesome and so much of it. We were lucky to be on the smaller Mon Cherie number 1. The people staying were great too. Shoutout to the manager Lisa/Chang and the waiter John/Dong (I think) who were brilliant. But all staff were fantastic. Luxury cabins and it was special. We stayed two nights in an Elegance room (room307 was very private).
Lovely hotel in great location overlooking the sea & mountains/lake, Halong Bay is a very quiet location with many empty unfinished buildings around, sadly woken around 6am with construction workers on half built hotel next door, if your planning on early start no problem, the room was exceptional thou.
Quaint little hotel that is perfect for our group holiday. Situated in a quiet area too.

We stayed for one night, prior to taking a cruise. The staff organised the cruise for us, including taxis and airport transfers and this was cheaper and more efficient than if we had organised the trip ourselves. Everything was perfect and a special thanks to Mr Doan, Ms Lao and Tam who stayed in touch with us throughout the trip and answered all our questions with genuine warmth. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the busy central area, so it is quiet at night.
The room is quiet and very spacious with sufficient, luxury-looking amenities. Good location, Mong Cai city center, Mong Cai bus station and the international border with China is accessible within a few kilometers. We can see China buildings and roads at the other side of the border very clearly from the window, which is great.
