Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Views to unwind - self contained unit w/king bed is set in Ruakaka. The property features quiet street views and is 28 km from Northland Event Centre and 28 km from Town Basin Marina. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The room was quite large and very clean. The kitchenette was well supplied and had a counter with stools so you could enjoy a spectacular view of hills, ocean, and fields while you ate. The bathroom was modern, clean, and had an impressive supply of amenities. There are 2 dogs on the property who are so sweet, affectionate and well-behaved. The property is beautiful, as are the incredible views.

The bed and breakfast offers a continental or à la carte breakfast. Everything was perfect, especially the fresh breakfast. Modern, very comfortable, spotless clean and perfectly equipped (Nespresso, laundry, BBQ …) Thanks to Ann it feels like a home away. :-)

At the bed and breakfast, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. Fiona, our host, was a delight. The breakfasts were superb and the location was everything we hoped for.

When we arrived,We received a lovely, friendly welcome from Janice & Kevin,great to meet them. The room we had,was absolutely spotless, very nicely decorated & lovely to stay in.a very comfy bed & a superb bathroom with a fantastic shower. We made use of the BBQ to prepare our evening meal, & managed to see a fantastic sunset. There were plenty of choices for breakfast & Janice gave us lots of information regarding things to do while we were heading north.a great location if your travelling up to cape Reianga & back. A fantastic host.

Even though we only had a single overnight stay at Chalet Cullen, we must say it’s on our top ten experiences of what we have had during our 6 weeks vacation in New Zealand. The unit was fine and cozy, and with a great view to the beach. The local radio station (FM 90.4) plays pop/rock from the good old days. What’s not to like. We can only give our best recommendations.
