The Ship Hotel is less than 13 miles from both Chester and Liverpool. All of the attractions of the Wirral are close by, including the village of Port Sunlight, the Lady Lever Art Gallery, and the area's many golf courses, including the world famous Royal Liverpool Golf Club at Hoylake (host to the British Open in 2014). Everything. Bedroom was lovely, bed was comfy and the restaurant food was excellent.

The property was in a great location, within walking distance to the city centre. Check in was easy and had a perfect (free) parking spot on the street outside. Was cheap and cheerful, ideal for our one night stay.
Breakfast provision was very good, with a wide range of food - granola, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, jams, spread etc, etc. Also, excellent choice of good quality tea & coffee, plus fresh milk. The room & shower room were lovely & warm & spotlessly clean. Beds were excellent & we slept very well indeed in the beautifully quiet & peaceful surroundings. Hosts were charming - friendly & helpful. We will certainly recommend The Garden Room!
A great option for your money! Very nice and friendly owners, the house is clean and well maintained, quiet area and not far from the city center. There was a private bath, a washbasin right in the room, a kettle, TV, and a bathrobe, etc. Bus stop right outside the house, delicious classic English breakfast.

Great location for visit to Chester. In a quiet location straight onto a canal path, 15/20 minute walk into the centre of Chester. Chester is lovely with its old buildings, race course, walks, and shops. We used the train into Liverpool, which was cheap and easy and a great day out.
An excellent, quiet boutique hotel with great facilities within walking distance of Chester city centre, where the hosts are very welcoming, friendly and professional. Private parking was an added bonus too. A nice personal touch of a cuppa and home made cake on arrival! Luxurious room and very comfortable bed. Amazing wonderful breakfast with a great choice and using quality ingredients. 10/10 for us for everything. Thank you Dave and Kirsty for a lovely stay, we will be returning.
