Bad Goisern is a wonderful little village and a great base to discover Hallstatt and the other nice places around. We loved the Wanderlust B&B. The house itself is beautiful, the rooms are clean and well decorated, and the owners made their best to make us feel welcome.

A monument to taste, imagination and use of space - the minimalist number of four glorious rooms and Thomas's refusal to cut even the teeniest of corners is nothing less than a raspberry blown at modern convention: quality and return visits, not lavish or even strong profits, are the priority. The most dazzling gem in the most beautiful town on earth. Nuff said.

The rooms are very imaginatively decorated and the whole place was refurbished beautifully in 2017. Bathroom was excellent, bed and the room were both huge and cosy.Luisa was so friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was great, a good selection of meats, cheeses, breads and sweet items, plus eggs cooked to order. The guest house is a short walk from Steeg-Gosau train station and is well placed for a visit to Hallstatt. Bonus: the lovely resident black Labradors :)

The property is non-smoking and is set 1.3 km from Museum Hallstatt. Cosy room with a balcony in a picturesque place. Hosts are extremely nice and hospitable, we were allowed to check in much earlier and leave our bags after we have checked out. Breakfast was great as well. Altogether you can feel how much love was put in this house!

Offering a restaurant with a terrace and a café as well as free Wi-Fi, Pension Cafe zum Mühlbach is located in the centre of Hallstatt, 800 metres from the Salzbergbahn Cable Car and the public swimming lake Hallstätter See and a 20-minute drive from Bad Ischl Thermal Bath. The view was fabulous, and it was so nice to have a balcony to take it in. A little pricey, but great for the area.
