Netherdene Country House Bed & Breakfast’s rooms all have a flat-screen TV as well as a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Free tea, coffee and ironing facilities are provided, and all rooms look across the countryside.

I love this place. I booked it last minute as I got a late start to my drive up north and didn’t get as far as I was hoping, but my stay here was a pleasant surprise and I’m so glad I got to stop here. Incredibly clean, comfortable, with clear thought put into providing anything a guest might want. Breakfast was delicious, and the view out the window while eating provided a great start to the morning. I would gladly go out of my way to stay here again.

Rooms retain charming old features like timber framing and exposed brick walls. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and facilities for making tea and coffee.

There is a large garden with a patio, where you can relax in warmer weather. The Boot and Shoe also hosts frequent live music, as well as quiz nights and other entertainment.

The character of a delightful old pub I've known for over 50 years, has been well maintained.

Loved our room, the decor is gorgeous right through. Small ensuite but still better than having to share, great shower. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant followed by a walk around your gorgeous, quiet little town. And lovely breakfast which was included. Would definitely stay again.

View from the room was wonderful. Peaceful and quiet. Reception staff were super helpful and chatty, sharing info on facilities and local area. Items made available in accommodation such as dishwasher tablets, cloth, tea towel etc were very much appreciated. Great location if you can drive as lots nearby within a short drive.

Dean was a great host from the moment we arrived. Couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was superb every morning, really flexible with timings for brekkie, his knowledge of the area was great, he even drew us a map for our walking trip. The room was a good size, comfortable bed and a really quiet location. Free parking outside. We even got to use the hot tub, which was a right bonus after a day walking around the lakes. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this b and b, will definitely return in the future.

Great location, parking, friendly homely feel, cuppa on arrival, lovely hosts and cooked breakfast, cereals etc. Bookable hot tub with music, relax after walking the fells! Cheaper booking directly, so I'm annoyed with booking dot com... Dogs welcome too, nice (not main) road walk nearby

Brilliant host, very helpful and friendly. Quaint cottage in a handy location for Keswick and Penrith as it's between the two. The breakfast was extremely good with decent size portions. Lovely garden. Just a well cared for proper English bed and breakfast with quiet guests.
