Everything! Sue is very kind and hospitable! The room and adjoining dressing room and bath were nicely furnished/equipped, including an electric kettle with various hot drink options. The Bay Horse Country Inn is located in Thirsk, within 20 km of Ripley Castle and 25 km of Royal Hall Theatre. This 4-star inn offers free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 13 km from Lightwater Valley Theme Park.

The way we were greeted and put at ease from the start. This pub/hotel reminded me of how country pubs used to be. The whole community support this pub and its busy every night and the locals are great as they make you welcome The food served here is some of the best we have eaten and the chef cooks it exactly as you want. The portions are perfect and always hot. The deserts are amazing. We are recommending this hotel and are telling our friends about it. Thanks guys.

Spotlessly clean and a great location, with excellent facilities. You are a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of Thirsk, yet the location means that the cottage is quiet and peaceful.

In a secluded, private courtyard this quaint little cottage is a hidden gem. Standing out front you could imagine the street life of 100 years ago just by looking around you. We stayed a couple of days and wished we would have stayed a couple more as The Bakery Cottage and Thirsk are steeped in history and we didn’t get a chance to take it all in. In summary, if you’re looking for a quiet few days away with beautiful surroundings then you shouldn’t look any further than The Bakery Cottage.

Beautiful property. We loved having a private hot tub and using the pool too was almost private as it was nice and quiet. The velvetiser was an amazing touch and the coffee machine with pods. Also really loved having robes and slippers- felt like a luxury hotel!
