Heathergate Cottage Dartmoor BnB is a working farm situated less than 1 mile from Lydford village in Dartmoor National Park.

Angela was a fantastic host and made me very welcome whilst staying in her home . Nothing was too much trouble. I stayed in the attic room which was described very well on booking info. It catered for everything I needed. Bed was so comfy, the on-suite meet my expectations too . Tea , coffee etc all to hand, and Free access to WiFi . Access road narrow, so not good for large vehicles . Parking was OK . Breakfast was brilliant. So much choice and beautifully cooked. Definately would stay again and have recommended on trustpilot.

Very welcoming staff Stevie at the forefront of this. Food was first class. We had an evening meal on the Saturday the steak was amazing along with a very good cheese board. Simon recommended a Pinot Noir to complement the steak which was perfect. We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday morning walk along Granite Way followed by an exceptional Sunday Roast on our return. When in the area we will definitely go back.

A wonderful place to stay both from perspective of location as well as the accommodation. Beautifully decorated little barn with absolutely everything that is needed. All private as well. Nice enclosed garden that kept our puppy safe and happy. Favourite features were log burner and wooden floor upstairs. Perfectly clean as well and even had luxury bed sheets.

Literally everything! The Shepherd's Hut is so quaint, gorgeous, and perfect for a well needed break in the quiet rolling hills with calm fresh air. The view straight out from our bed was exceptional, and the location was superb! Not to mention the lady who looks after the Hut, Corrine, was so lovely and really helpful with our stay. I couldn't rate this accommodation highly enough and I hope we can come back year after year!
