Convenient location for Coast to Coast walk, with local buses and rail station. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast and packed lunch. Hosts gave good local recommendation for evening meal. Hosts went beyond the call of duty in giving us a lift to the start of the our walk.

Sian the host was wonderful nothing too much trouble for her.. The rooms are lovely warm clean, bed good, shower was fantastic. Breakfast is delivered to your room. The sausage bap was fantastic. Small fridge in room, fresh milk and coffee and tea available to make. On arrival there was cream scones in the fridge. Safe parking for car off road. Nice pub 5 min walk The Black Bull. Whitby only 15mins away by car.

Everything was very good. The hosts were extremely kind and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very cosy and warm, plus our own breakfast room too. The location and the views around the area are stunning. Thank you for your hospitality.

The landlady was amazingly helpful when we arrived early, soaked through and cold - she got our room ready quickly, dried our wet coats and boots, made sure we got dry, warm and fed.

Both beds were comfortable and the cottage was well equipped.
It was a nice touch to leave firewood for the two wood burners but as it was warm, we did not need to use them.
