The room was very nice with lovely fittings & fixtures. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was in full working order with toiletries and fluffy towels. There was an excellent selection of tea/coffees & hot chocolate and biscuits too ! Overall the little touches in the room like Peak District books to read and a bottle of water made our stay complete ! Thankyou

Lovely stay. Lovely couple who kept it. Nice warm welcome & lovely room & good sized bathroom. We rang up to book a meal on the evening which was really nice. Breakfast was really nice too. Yes would recommend staying there. Would certainly go there again.

We liked just about everything; from the friendly, helpful, visible owners and their great team, including restaurant, bar and domestic staff in the morning; tasty food for dinner and breakfast; warm, comfortable room; absolutely dog-friendly hotel; very reasonable bar prices; plenty of car parking. We had a superb overnight.

It was just what we were looking for. A country pub with comfortable rooms, that we could easily access the Peak District. Rooms have been decorated well to suit the peak setting, with comfortable bed and mod cons.
Breakfast was delicious and good value for money. Friday Eve was very busy as the pub had a band on. This wasn’t really heard in the rooms, but was a great atmosphere in the pub. We were offered food on our arrival, even though the kitchens were closing. Which was great, however we thought this would be the case for the weekend and we couldn’t get food the next night as kitchens closed at 8pm!

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Nothing bad to say about this property. Wonderful conversion, has everything you’ll need and the host is very helpful.
Great location, friendly village and some fantastic walks on the doorstep.
Loved the colours and paintwork. Instructions nicely clear. Warm place despite the weather. Great location easy to find. Lovely to have chairs placed so you could see the view. Liked the attitude to recycling and clear up too.
It was a lovely place to stay, really clean and beautifully decorated. The views across the fields are great, and it was so quiet. There's some great walks from the doorstep and the local pubs are great and really friendly. Can't wait to go back.
Great location & the welcome pack was a lovely gesture. 2 dog friendly pubs within a 5 minute walk, both serve food & The Miners Arms Sunday lunch was spot one.
Cottage was perfect, everything we needed and was so beautifully cleaned and decorated. perfectly quiet at night and wonderful views from bedroom window. perfect base to explore Peak District
