The Lake View Hotel, hotel in Beddgelert

Situtated at the foot of Mount Snowdon, The Lake View Hotel is surrounded by woodland and features rooms overlooking Lake Padarn. The rooms include a TV and a private bathroom.

The property was perfect! We didn’t arrive until late on in the evening as we were travelling a fair few hours to get there but this was not a problem as we were politely greeted by Amy and James. We initially booked the last room which was two singles but Amy messaged to ask if a double became available would we like to be upgraded, I thought this was very accommodating. The room was lovely and clean with a great view of the lake. The breakfast was super tasty and James’s famous porridge you may have read about on other reviews definitely lived up to its reputation. Would definitely recommend!!

We didn’t actually see any staff, but on arrival the pod heating was on and it was lovely and warm for us. The pod is basic but for what we needed for hiking overall it’s lovely. Everything to hand, and in very quiet setting beautiful. In one large hut there was 4 large private bathrooms which are named to the pod names.

The room was lovely, clean & with a really comfortable bed. The room looked like it was fairly newly refurbished although the wallpaper & chairs didn't really match the rest of the room it made no difference to our comfort. A lovely cooked Welsh breakfast along with a help yourself cereal, toast, pastries, Large bathroom with a bath was nice and clean. Even though there were lots of guests there was not much noise from other rooms and our room overlooked the road and this was very quiet at night. Great location too.

Considerate and friendly staff welcoming each time we met. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Comfy bed in a quiet room with excellent WiFi. Dedicated off road hotel parking opposite the entrance to the hotel. Amazing location in a very pretty village nestled amongst some impressive landscape with beautiful walks from the front door plus short journeys to Portmeirion and Plas Brondanw Gardens, Watkin Path up to the summit of Snowdonia and many more. We would definitely go back and enjoy this excellent value historic landmark of Beddgelert.
