Battle itself provides a great choice of restaurants and shops, while the seaside towns of Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea are less than 20 minutes drive away. Battle station also provides an excellent rail link to London, with direct access from Charing Cross and London Bridge stations.

The hotel was excellent value. The room was clean and comfortable, check-in easy and the location in the middle of town. There was free parking in the courtyard at the rear.

Ian and Ruth are amazing hosts! They are personable, serve a lovely breakfast and go above and beyond normal host duties. We picked the guesthouse based on location to friends but would return based on the level of hospitality ...had the lovely Sapphire Room.

The room was large, clean, tidy, warm comfy bed, and facilities of drinks and bathroom were superb. The breakfasts (2) were large, local products, natural selection, tasty and filling. I had the free range of the living as well. Friendly and helpful couple.
