This is our 12th(!) stay at the Wheatsheaf - we absolutely love it. A great location in a beautiful little village, and a good base for exploring further afield - plus lots of scenic walks. The rooms at the Inn are clean and very comfortable, the breakfasts are excellent and will set you up for the day, and I would recommend trying the meals as they are just so tasty! The steak pie is a favourite, and the fish and chips are just delicious - but do book as it can get very busy.
We've stayed at many hotels and Inns in the UK - some hugely expensive ones too, but for us, the Wheatsheaf is up there among the very best, which is why we keep returning!

The accommodation was so lovely and quaint. Jayson was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us! Breakfast was excellent 👌. He is full of knowledge regarding the area and gave us some good advice on where to visit.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The Barn is a quaint little paradise. Ideal for 2 people. The kitchen has everything you need and the decor and bedroom is to such a high standard. The hot tub is perfect. Luxury!
Quaint well run b and b. Small but well equipped clean room with super comfortable bed and great shower.
Cooked breakfast with a couple of choices - also fresh fruit cereal and yoghurt,coffee was pretty good too.
Friendly hostess, the beds were comfortable. Our twin room was small but had everything you need. Nice view to the mountain. The breakfast was fine, at the price it was perfectly OK however if I had paid more I would have wanted more fresh fruit and definitely stronger coffee. However overall, the location is great for exploring the Dales and the room was comfy. The property is quirky and cute. The room was quiet, which is always welcome.
