It was a very nice stay there in our first trip in Switzerland😊😊 The hotel room was superb!! Neat & Clean. And owner was so nice. I forgot my keys there but he posted it to my address by post. The hosts of the hotel were very friendly and helpful despite the fact that I did not speak Swiss-German. I would recommend it as it is quiet and well run. The location is exceptional, one a one lane road in the mountains of Appenzell. It was mid April but we had a lot of snow every day, but the roads were plowed and the hotel is very accessible, even in poor weather. The hotel is old but the interior is updated and the rooms are large, modern, and very clean. The food is excellent and they cooked two unique Swiss items for us that were not on the menu. The staff is exceptional.
