Staff is super friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure you´re comfortable and enjoying your stay. This was my first time in Atitlan but from the places I visited I would say Atitlan Sunset Lodge is a must go to.

This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)
