Felt like a home, able to relax in the loungeroom after dinner with log fire burning. Delightful! Fantastic amenities, lovely little touches like the pillow spritz to help sleep & a cosy hot water bottle. Beautiful grounds and a short stroll to a great local pub for dinner as recommended by the host.

An amazing apartment! Exceeded our expectations by far. One of the nicest properties I’ve ever stayed in. Beds were comfy, bathrooms tidy, kitchen had everything and more and the living area is so big and comfy with amazing views. The host was very attentive, he gave us updates on road closures and even a list of places to eat and a fresh pint of milk in the fridge! The carpark is secure. There is even an elevator. Would definitely recommend.

the quaintness and decorating of the B & B was beautiful and it was very clean. The proprietor, Antoinette, was very friendly and welcoming. The traditional Scottish breakfast was the best breakfast that we had our entire 9 days in Scotland (her husband, the cook, is a chef). Antoinette was correct when she said we wouldn't find another potato scone like theirs - simply the best. Then we were able to meet (and feed) three of her Highland Cows - Apple, Toffee and Joe, which was a highlight of our trip - what my daughter and I call a WOW. At the end of each day, we rank our daily travels by POW (low point), WOW (high point and CHOW (best meal). The Valleyview House go both the WOW (meeting and feeding the cows) and the CHOW (breakfast). And we loved their three dogs: Rowan, Willow and Molly. All three are well trained and very affectionate. Perhaps the best thing about Valleyview House is Antoinette. She is knowledgable about the area and gave us directions and sightseeing ideas/options and things to watch out for. My highest recommendation.

They had everything you needed there including laundry. If you need to dry clothes quickly, there is a laundromat across the street. The location is great as the high street is just a few minutes walk and you are within walking distance to two supermarkets. Also, everything was labeled so it was easy to find what you needed or know what to do.

Breakfast offered a good selection of cold and hot items presented well Dinners were delicious with a great choice of fresh seafood Our room was cozy and comfortable and clean! The bar was friendly & we could sit outside in the sun Jilly is so efficient and helpful and she and the rest of the staff made our stay very pleasant.

We realized that Thurso is a great location for trips to the north and that's why we extended our stay twice here. It is a very spacious apartment with the main amenities you may need. Friendly and helpful owner, too. Really enjoyed our 3-days here. Thank you.
