The house was excellent - just as it was described and pictured on the site. Mary left us some complimentary goodies, which we wolfed down and she also arranged for the most unexpectedly pleasant weather too(!) There were passing people to chat to, if we were so inclined, but it was just as easy to sit peacefully and watch what was going on in the harbour. I swam in the sea at the shingly beach (which was just a minute's walk around the corner) and also at the beautiful Rigg bay beach (which was about a 40 minute walk). There were plenty of walks - which usually involved stopping for an ice cream at the nearby Hive Cafe. The house was just brilliant and the area was ideal for us - beautiful and peaceful.

This was honestly the best AirBnb-type place I've ever stayed! Every area was appointed with lovely furniture and decorations, and every utensil and cookware needed! The host, Michelle, left Prosecco and shortbread cookies, and later dropped off bread, butter, and milk! I didn't have a car and her sister and wife drove me to Aldi in Newton Stewart to buy groceries. Michelle was so friendly and thought of everything for a comfortable stay!
