Ideally situated on Stranraer seafront, overlooking Loch Ryan and just 5 minutes' walk from the town centre and train station, this family-run guest house offers free Wi-Fi, ample, free, off-street... The host, Elaine, was exceptional. Our room was at the back of the house and nice and quiet. Complimentary sips of whisky and chocolate helped us relax after a terrible travel day. Easy walking to city center and train station. Vegan breakfast was delicious.

Me and my son loved this place, the owners are lovely, beautiful surroundings in the country side, our dog had a lot of fun exploring our own pet friendly garden which is all enclosed to each lodge privately, the hot tub was amazing and even though it rained here and there…we were able to still use as it’s got a roof to keep u protected, they even left us a little valentines card on arrival, plenty of extras u can get and great prices, no need to take wood as there is wood to buy at the lodge and not expensive at all, the fire pit is also lovely, my fave part at night, they also supply a separate bbq, we never used due to the time of year, highly recommend “the pub” (actual name) only 15 min drive and good prices if u fancy a meal out, our favourite trip so far and we’ve done glamping trips before, can’t wait to return, highly recommend :)

These beautifully designed tiny houses were perfect! Great views with lots of wildlife and walks nearby. We ordered the breakfast hampers each morning and they were delicious. There are 7 little cabins and they are great for any kind of trip. The Alder cabin also has a hot tub which was an added bonus! Elen was very responsive and incredibly helpful!

Briar Brae Bed & Breakfast is set in Stranraer on the sea front, with views over Loch Ryan. The property is located 9 km from Portpatrick and 11 km from the ferry port. Brendan was an excellent host. The room was large and bright, the bed comfortable and the shower clean. Plus, our breakfast was cooked to order by the man himself. Can’t ask for more the night before a sailing (Cairnryan ferry port is a very easy 15-minute drive away).

This is our third time staying at Thornbank House and it never fails to disappoint. Rang up on the morning for an early check in due to a poor nights sleep the night before and Fiona was very accomodating which I thank her immensely for. Wonderful breakfast and location.

Offering beautiful views of Loch Ryan, Harbour Lights Guesthouse is located in Stranraer. Free WiFi access is available. Rooms at Harbour Lights Guesthouse are en suite with a shower. Lovley little place. Breakfast was amazing and really good value for money and the owners were friendly and helpful.

Set in the picturesque village of Portpatrick within its own landscaped garden, Blinkbonnie Guest House is a 5-minute walk from the seafront and offers a sun terrace and free Wi-Fi. Robert and Lesley were very helpful and friendly. Rooms exceptionally clean. Breakfast great. We were group of tree couples and we have not complaints.
