Extremely polite and helpful staff with an excellent level of English - although they did let me practice my Japanese! Location was very good for the price. Bed was comfortable. Very clean.
Superb buffet-style dinner and breakfast - everything fresh and incredibly tasty, with a great variety of the most popular Japanese and Western foods. On top of that, kind and helpful staff. I also loved the public bath - quite spacious, clean and with quite a nice view of the mountains. I could see Aso-san from my room as well, and it made my day <3 I strongly recommend this hotel, great value for a fraction of the price of other good local hotels.
The hallway is absolutely as stunning as in all the photos which is why, besides the location (quite close to the Hakata station), I chose it. The room was very big and so was the bathroom and everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable although I prefer the more Japanese style — this one was more western, to be expected with the decor. The staff were very nice and helpful as always.
Breakfast was offered daily and we purchased it. It was a mix a Japanese and Western. Something for everyone. The washing Machine in the room was excellent and one of the main reasons we booked there. It was trouble free. The Hotel was not far from the train station so the walk back and forward was not onerous.
What a delight to be staying here. The rooms are spacious, the view and light comforting and the location is perfect. The whole hotel has a contemporary clear thinking and fun approach, supported by thoughtful staff. The meals were a beautiful selection of Japanese foods, all prepared to an excellent standard.
It was amazing! We really loved the old wooden building with its japanese charm! Kimika-san the host is a lovely person who spreads happiness and fun all over the place. Additionally she is extremely helpful and shows interest in every guest. Together this creates a wonderful atmosphere, where people get together and feel like home!

Miyazaki was the last stop on our trip so we could see Aoshima and surrounds and do some souvenir shopping. For Ghibli fans, the Ghibli shop in Aeon Mall Miyazaki has a bigger range than the museum at Mitaka. Yurakuan Miyazaki gave us a family room with a real authentic, Japanese, little bit retro feel. Really kind and thoughtful staff. A little far to walk to stations but taxis were easy to find and cost 1 - 2 thousand yen to get you to a station or the airport. If you're not a big hotel chain kind of family, would recommend 100%.
Extremely convenient only steps outside station. Good selection for breakfast. All the standard facilities of the APA hotel chain.
Typical APA hotel standard. If you are OK staying at this chain then you pretty much know what you are going to get. Nice touch that they video service was free.
