There was no overhead lighting and the room seemed dark which is par for the course in this quality of motel. There were several dogs in the motel the night we stayed and the hallway carpet had a lot of dog fur which seemed to have come from one light coloured dog. We saw / heard several other dogs in the hallway, one at 5:30 AM. We could smell dog odours in our room so if that is bothersome to you this might not be the place for you.

Breakfast was adequate, about average for a motel breakfast; waffles, cereals, bagels, toast, apples, oranges, yogurt, coffee and juices. The room was clean and basic. There was a small fridge, coffee supplies, no freezer, adequate towels, pillows, comfortable bed. The lamps had power outlets.

I would have liked a hot breakfast. I was glad there were at least hard-boiled eggs, but hot eggs and breakfast meat would have been better. There were too many sugary carbs and not enough proteins, which isn’t good for those watching their weight or those with diabetes. I also was not told that the rooms were only cleaned every 3 days, not that I demand a daily cleaning, but fresh towels and trash taken out every couple of days would have been better. Also, did not get enough coffee for the unit in the room every morning and there were no condiments or stirrers with the room coffee.

I appreciated having hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and fruit for breakfast. Coffee was good and plentiful, with many choices for sweeteners and cream/milk. The location was fine for me, convenient to my seminar and close to lots of restaurants. Bed was very comfortable.

The facility is a little old and the carpet need some cleaning I think. The breakfast is simple, no hot meal like bacon and scrambled eggs.

Dated carpet floors and pillows were OK. Our window was stained or something that made it so we couldn't see outside. We didn't like that too much. They also had the heat on full blast, and it was too much upon arrival. We had to open the window and put the air conditioning on for hours just to get the room to a comfortable temperature.

Great location and staff who greeted us were pleasant and helpful. In the morning, we were still eating breakfast after the breakfast closed, and they waited until everyone had eaten before they stepped in to clear up. It was very thoughtful and nice to not be rushed. Fabulous value for our stay and we will be back.

My spouse has celiacs, so he cannot eat gluten, so more options for breakfast would have been nice. Also, it was difficult to get an uber/cab service to BGSU. We came for Family Weekend, and are hoping to return for other college events and for both of my kid's graduations in the future.

The waffles were good, the breakfast area was clean and good sized. Breakfast hours from 7-10 was nice .

Facilities need to be updated. Breakfast needs more offerings (meats, scrambled eggs, potatoes, etc). No ice machine on the first two floors. The only ice machine was on third floor. Extremely inconvenient.

For the price of the room, we didn't have extra high expectations, but we have a strict budget so we usually go with the cheaper rooms. When we arrived, the room was large and clean, the area felt safe, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast area was great! Everything was very clean and well kept. It was a great experience overall. Thank you La Quinta for having a safe, affordable hotel option for us working families where we feel safe and comfortable bringing our kids!
