“Fantastic staff, clean modern comfy rooms, with a kettle ( this isn’t always found in Portuguese hotels) Nice breakfast available, pool, spa etc and very reasonable pricing. Absolutely recommend this Hotel..we have extended our stay here purely on the above criteria and how welcoming staff are. Thank you staff …deserves 5 stars”
“Breakfast was excellent. The service staff is attentive, courteous and friendly. The hotel had a restaurant, which saved me from taking care of the problem of lunch and dinner. Most importantly, everything was amazingly delicious. They have an amazing chef and wait staff. The restaurant had pleasant music and a beautiful interior.”
“Amazing location, so peaceful, unusual and very rustic, fantastic scenery. The local people were so welcoming and friendly. DEFINITELY worth going Relaxing few days thank you”
“Well what can I say. The village is wonderful. Such a unique experience to stay there. I stayed in Casa do Sol and it was perfect. Loved having the upstairs balcony. Had everything you needed for self catering but they do have a lovely cafe and Carole and Lily were so friendly. They were the two staff I saw every day I was there but everyone was so friendly. Breakfast was perfect every morning and Lily made the most amazing cakes each day I was there. The is also a small, gallery/shop (albeit quite limited) so if like me you used public transport to get there you do need to pick up provisions before you get there. Easy enough to do by public transport (I came from Porto so train, bus and taxi) so don't let not having a car put you off going!! The staff are happy to call the taxi company to arrange pick up as unless you speak Portuguese it can be a bit tricky to get a taxi. I was lucky enough to do the minature schist house building course with Rita and it was a perfect way to end my holiday .. and the house survived the trip back in my suitcase. Many thanks to you all.”
“Beautiful hote, room's were very clean and comfortable fantastic helpful staff nothing was to much trouble.
Well we're there for our daughter's wedding with a party of 16 people we would all like to say thank you we would recommend the hotel to anyone 🙂”
“The breakfast was diverse. From local produce - bread, cherries, jams, eggs, cherry cake - to healthy options of fruit and yogurt with granola. A special note about the cherries which were in season and the eggs were from chicken raised in the Quinta.
The hosts were catering for the breakfast, including coffee and juices. We didn't need to get up from the table.
A bonus was the view from the dining hall. A clear view of the surrounding mountain chain.
The host recommend a restaurant in a nearby town which was great.
Housekeeping was nicely done and our toiletries pouches were stored inside the drawers in the bathroom.
Wished I had more time because the pool is bathed by the sun throughout the day. When the weather is above 30 ºC, that's the place to be. Inside water, surrounded by mountains.”
“We had twin beds that were larger than normal singles and comfortable, lovely view from our balcony, very clean throughout and all the staff were pleasant and helpful ample parking spaces and lots of beds and chairs round the pool. Excellent breakfast both cooked and continental. We spent three days here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”
