Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room we were assigned, number 23 on the 1st floor, had a view of their rubbish skip. They could at least put a roof over the area or find a way to hide it from view, so it's not visible from the rooms above it, as it ruins the experience. One of the windows didn't close properly, leaving an approximately 2 cm gap in one of the top corners where you could see outside. As this room faced the street, we could hear the noise from the traffic. Having windows that close properly would significantly reduce the outside noise. The room looked clean overall, but there were black mould marks in the corners of the walk-in shower. Also, the extractor fan was not working, or perhaps we missed the way to turn it on even though we did look around for it. Lastly, one of the receptionists was not as attentive during checkout. She asked the guests, checking out right in front of us if they had a good experience and wished them a nice day. When she got to us, she just took our room key and simply said we were all set. It felt a bit awkward to both myself and my partner. Regardless of these issues, our overall stay was a positive one. Despite the little things we mentioned, they could be easily improved, and we would stay here again, though perhaps not in the same room.
For a London hotel (usually with tiny rooms), it was a lovely quiet and decent size room in a safe and nice part of the city. They also have a nice terrace to enjoy drinks and a meal on a hot day or evening. Dinner at the Melody Restaurant was lovely, and the lady who served us was very nice, professional, and attentive.

GermanyThe receptionist was quite rude from the start. The cleaning staff forget to do basic things like changing toilet paper, replacing water in the fridge. Also the room layout is very weird making it very uncool.
The location was good.

United KingdomSlight mix up on our booking with breakfast (we had paid for it to be included but this wasn't on their records). This was quickly resolved by the helpful staff however.
Lovely little hotel and great location. Perfect for what we needed and the bar/restaurant area was lovely. Staff were all very helpful.

United KingdomStaff on arrival were quite rude when checking in. Could not get a drink at the bar at 10.45pm when asked if I could take it to my room they still refused . No room service available. A outside fan was going all night and whenever the rooms above flushed the toilet or run the shower you could hear it next to my bed.
Very clean and the garden and grounds are lovely.

United KingdomI was really disappointed by the seemingly unhappy nature of the staff we encountered, other than the lovely lady on reception in the morning. There was also no one around for breakfast. I had to find someone to advise us what table to sit at and find someone again for coffee. These are small and minor problems but not what I expected.
Our room was beautiful. The hotel is really lovely and it was our second stay here.

ItalyWe had an attic bedroom and we were both extremely cold all night. The bathroom had underfloor heating so was cosy but the bedroom didn't get warm enough.
Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean. Lovely old building, the room was above average in size with a lovely bathroom and large shower.

United KingdomEntrance to the hotel is very tight so taxi pick up has to be on the road side which is always very busy. Bathrobe is only on request even for an executive double room and it was a rather old bathrobe without the string to tie around the waist. Staff do not show much interest. It has a potential to be a really nice boutique hotel in a prime central London location but many details can be improved.
Nice view facing the park. Central location in Hammersmith close to tube station. Private entrance to the executive double room was good. Bathroom looks good.

United KingdomSome double rooms are smaller than others so really depend on luck. So this time we had one room smaller than another, not ideal. I wanted another chair (room only has one for a double room) and the staff seem to find it extremely difficult to find me another chair.
Central location, close to restaurants and pubs, close to Hammersmith Station. Clean room.
