You can sit on the terrace of your chalet and keep watching the beautiful landscape, mountains, valleys and spectacular stars at night. There is a family style dinner served in the evening and a very pleasant breakfast. The place also has some zebras. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.A very good base for the Addo Elephant park and I enjoyed also the Scotia safari.

Situated within the Amakhala Game Reserve, Safari Lodge - Amakhala Game Reserve is a thatched lodge offering an outdoor swimming pool, garden and sun terrace. The Port Elizabeth Airport is 88 km away.... Food was absolutely wonderful. Staff were amazing - friendly, efficient and professional. Having spent countless days in the South African bush, this was a step above it all. To have a game ranger like Martin conducting our twice daily drives was the “cherry on the top”. His lovely attitude, enthusiasm and incredible knowledge makes the Safari Lodge a definite return location.

Set against a cliff above the Bushman's River valley, Woodbury Lodge is located in the malaria-free area of the Amakhala Game Reserve. Thanks to Kristin and Thando for the wonderful drives and excellent hosting. Located in the heart of the Amakhala Game Reserve, Woodbury Tented Camp offers an authentic outdoor experience in safari tents. The camp overlooks the ancient floodplain of the Bushmans River. We absolutely loved everything about this camp. Perfectly located, great pool, we felt like being on Safari at a friends house. Rob (the ranger) did an amazing job with two amazing game drives, we saw a lot of animals and had great fun. Even the shower in the tent was fantastic.

Situated in the Amakala Big Five Game Reserve, Bush Lodge offers an intimate lodge experience. It features an outdoor swimming pool, viewing deck and a number of game drives and bush walks. Food was excellent , safaris and the ranger Roan outstanding! Highly recommended

Offering an intimate Big 5 safari experience, Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp features a boma bonfire and BBQ facilities. It is located in the Amakhala Game Reserve. We loved every aspect of this experience. The staff were all incredible; we were so impressed by the guide's knowledge, enthusiasm & respect for the animals and nature. They made the game drives so enjoyable (even when raining). The reserve is a great size & we had such memorable sightings & animal encounters (elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo, tortoises, hippos, giraffes, jackal to name a few). We loved the intimate feel of Quatermains, with just 6 guests & everyone eating breakfast and dinner together - which were both delicious. Our personal hot tub heated by a wooden stove was the icing on the cake! Would highly recommend. Thank you so much to Liam, Johan, Nick, Julie & Riaan for a once in a lifetime experience.

Providing mountain views, Lalibela Game Reserve Lentaba Safari Lodge in Paterson provides accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a bar and a terrace. It was our first experience of a game reserve and it didn’t disappoint! From start to finish it was just amazing in every way. Our Guide called Teacher was the absolute best!!!

We had the most wonderful, peaceful and enjoyable stay there. It’s a slice of heaven.
