If you come this far to read these comments and you have an opportunity to stay at Bassam's place, please do not think anymore, I promise you will not regret it. The guest house is located on the west bank just two minutes walk away from the ferry that takes you across the river to the east side where the city is located. So if you arrive in Aswan by train is only a straight 3-minute walk from the train station to the ferry, and then another 2-minute walk to the guesthouse. It's located in a Nubian village away from the hustle and noise of the city. The owner Bassam is the friendliest person you will ever meet. He always ensured that we have everything we need, and he and his family went above and beyond to make an unforgettable experience and it felt like a home away from home for us. We were visiting during the holy month of Ramadan and Bassam and his family invited us to join them for Iftar which was truly amazing. We also went on a half-day tour with Bassam to Aswan Dam and Philae temple which I highly recommend and he also organized a tour to Abu Simbel for us which was also perfect. The rooms were nice and clean and the air conditioning was working great but the highlight in my opinion is the rooftop terrace where you can relax and enjoy the view.

The Nubian palace is the most friendly place we have stayed in Egypt over the past two weeks, the airport transfer was very helpful, the grilled chicken was very very delicious. The room was clean with strong air conditioning, the breakfast was also nice. On the day of check-out, the driver brought us sugar cane juice on the way to the Nile Cruise. Really grateful for that. So I would strongly recommend Nubian palace, so nice, so friendly and so helpful.

Everything was great from the beginning. Mr. Mohamed the Manager is very helpful and responsive via WhatsApp. During our stay there are not many guests coming, and he arranged all of us to stay in the special rooms with air conditioning. The staff were sooo nice and hospitable. The food was sooo great, the view from the room and restaurant was exceptional. There is a little beach that we can swim from to help with the 45 degrees heat. Even the dogs of the island were friendly and cuddly. I cannot recommend this enough!!

The place is very well decorated. In a nice and tranquil spot. Good food and comfy rooms. The view of the Nile is very relaxing and can make you feel like you are somewhere special. The staff is amazing and very friendly, one of the best people I have ever met. Idris made us feel like home and we got along like he was an old friend of us. Nubian people are very friendly and it was also nice to learn some aspects of their unique culture. Definetely recommend this pleace to anyone. Far from the chaos of the city centre.

The guest house is located in a very convenient spot on Elephantine Island, two minutes walk from the public ferry dock. The room and bathroom were clean and the room has air conditioning. Mona, the owner, is incredibly friendly and kind. She prepared small breakfast to take on our trip to Abu Simbel and a lavish breakfast on the second morning, plus refreshing karkadè and Nubian drink in the afternoon.
