This is the second time in Lima, the last stay was about 14 years ago. Oh so much has changed, and for the better and safer. The only change that I experienced that need to be instituted is taxi fare enforcement. The taxi's can be personal vehicle labeled as "Taxi" when not and will give you a price but at the end of the ride - double the fare.
Like the express bus to and from the airport to Miraflores, inexpensive, comfortable and timely.
The sea food restaurants are world class and the price is great.
Too short on time to visit the various places YouTube reviewers recommended to visit.

We recommend spending at least a few days in Lima. The city has a beautiful historical downtown and some nice upscale developments, such as Miraflores and San Isidro. There are also many museums and historical places. There are even some pre-Inca ruins within the city limits.
There are many restaurants with great seafood.

The Miraflores area seemed great, didnt't have much time to enjoy but it is definitely worth a full day or two day visit. Specially for foodies as there is a great gastronomical offer, the sunset at Larcomar mall ius stunning, walking the streets at least ion this area seems very safe and it is a beautiful area of the city.

Two things that need know : TERRIBLE TRAFFIC AND INSECURITY CITY AREAS. So be careful, don’t bring fancy stuff. Uber does work well there, check for another local apps.

Miraflores is really nice. I've found transportation isn't easy in Lima. No subway per say only buses. To go and visit Centro was cumbersome. Only a few pick-up places for Tour buses around Miraflores.
Hotel staff was attentive. Had more of a boutique hotel feel than a big corporate chain. This hotel had safes that could fit a small laptop. Street was quiet but in walking distance to ocean, Kennedy park, Wong's supermarket and places to eat. Great coffee in the lobby. The room service was also good. Excellent breakfast. First time to Lima and to Miraflores. This place and location made all the difference in the world and was cheaper than our 1st pick. For a tall person over 6 feet this bed was way above my expectations for comfort.
I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and cozy, and the portico was the best part of the hotel where I could enjoy a tasteful breakfast.
The location of the hotel is perfect as it is situated in the heart of Miraflores. It is close to Parque John F. Kennedy and some of the main streets of the neighborhood, where you can find many delicious restaurants.

Very cheap accommodation for Airbnb near airport. Great if you're taking an early flight out or a late flight in. Much cheaper than the Wyndham hotel inside the airport albeit you need to take Uber or Airbnb owner gives free shuttle to airport if he's available.
The location just off a main Miraflores road is perfect. As is the location being at the end of a no thru road means it is quiet. The rooms are spacious with well maintained facilities. Small and cosy hotel in the middle of Miraflores. Plenty of well maintained plants and several tables around property patios offer a chance to relax outside after a long day. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Plenty of great bars and restaurants in the area to enjoy Lima's thriving gastronomic scene. Hotel reception offers help with transfers from/to airport if required.
I have spent a wonderful night at Lima Boutique 18. As I arrived late in the night, they gave me at the reception all the information I was needing to visit quickly Miraflores and Barranco districts in a day. I can't say enough positive things about Pariwana hostel in Miraflores, Lima. The location is great with quick access to the best restaurants and nightlife. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Leandro who was our guide for the evening and gave us great recommendations around the city. This was a cute little boutique hotel in Miraflores. Staff was very helpful, staying up late to accommodate our late check-in. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice little courtyard and outdoor balcony for lounging. Liked how close it was to nice Miraflores restaurants and beautiful parks lining the seaside.
The location is the best. Right next to Kennedy park in a closed off street so very quite but really close to the park and all that Miraflores has to offer. The staff is very helpful too. I loved the location so much that I booked the same hotel when I came back to Lima after my trip to Cusco.
