Beautifully done with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfasts was great and service excellent. We had a day without water due to the City of CT working on the road. I know there was nothing the staff could do to alleviate the problem. They gifted me with a fabulous 60 min massage and also a bottle of wine in my room to compensate for the inconvenience. It was greatly appreciated.

FAQs about hotels in Cape Town

Cool, Colourful Cape

Between mountains and beaches, the 2nd largest city in South Africa mixes history, resilient modernity, and a typical laidback African character. From the top of Table Mountain to the colourful Bo Kaap quarter, and from the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to the modern business district, Cape Town blends multicultural influences and beautiful nature.

Known as Kaapstad in Afrikaans, its sunny weather and mild temperatures make it a perfect place to enjoy the large number of beaches that surround it. From Sunset Beach to Hout Bay, and from Simon’s Town to Gordon Bay, this city offers a variety that suits all tastes. Whale and dolphin watching is a popular activity in False Bay.

Located on the Cape of Good Hope, the city was founded in 1652 by a Dutch trading company as a way-station for ships travelling to the East Indies. With the settling process, all sorts of foreign plants were introduced, including the grapes in the famous Cape Winelands District, just outside Cape Town.

Cape Town’s history does have some darker periods, and some of its memorable places from this time deserve to be visited: Robben Island jail, the City Hall from which Nelson Mandela gave his first public speech, and the statues of the 4 South African Nobel Peace Prize winners on the V&A Waterfront.

Cape Town is a city of contrasts, where the natural and the man-made blend together in a mesmerizing symphony of beauty and sophistication. This South African gem nestles at the foot of Table Mountain and is surrounded by the glistening waters of the Atlantic Ocean, offering breathtaking panoramic views that will leave you speechless. From the bustling and colorful streets of Bo-Kaap to the postcard-perfect coastline of Clifton and Camps Bay, Cape Town’s charm is undeniable.

Our dinner experience at @bombaybrasseriect was one for the books. Attention to detail. The extra special complimentary 20th anniversary desserts was so special. Since our last visit they have renovated and it's bigger and better. Food even better than I remember. Service is superb. Who needs to go to India when we have a gem 💎 like this in the city center. Cape Town is such a beautiful and vibrant city!

Cape Town is such a beautiful and vibrant city! Everyone we have met was super welcoming and friendly. However as the apartheid ended roughly 30 years ago you can still see and feel a lot of it’s remains. As much as it’s a beautiful city with beautiful people there are very big contrasts between the lush life in the city and the town ships around it…

The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained, very clean and staff is very helpful. We had dinner buffet and it was really worth it. The managers was very friendly and helpful. Each staff member was friendly and not once was I disappointed. I am a very fussy person but I had no complains this weekend. Really good job to the staff of The Capetonian. The place was extremely clean, quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The entire room was clean and nothing broken or out of place. We had clean towels and bedding daily. The dishes were washed too every day. The parking is safe, secure and covered with a 24 hour security guard. We had complimentary WiFi, water, canned juices and milk. The location of The Quarter is less than 1km from the V&A Waterfront and surrounding areas. I would HIGHLY recommend Home Suites Hotels De Waterkant and The Quarter.

The location was perfect. Right at the entrance to the V&A Waterfront and a short walk to the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre. Most days we walked via the Canal from the hotel to the Wharf and it was lovely. We especially enjoyed the water machine opposite the vending machine which dispensed free ice cold and fizzy water. Upon check-in, our room wasn't ready so the hotel stored our luggage for us while we went out so we didn't have to worry about carting our luggage everywhere. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

This property is located perfectly in the middle of the waterfront district. It is excellent value. The hotel was safe and well-equipped. We did not have an opportunity to try the restaurants. The room was functional but just what we needed. Other accommodations in the area were more traditional and perhaps better appointed but they were also twice the price or more. Unless you plan on sitting in your room, this is where you should stay. Parking was also easy and excellent.

The location of Villa Capri is also perfect for walking to the V&A Waterfront (1km), Oranjezight Market (500 m) and the promenade just across the road.
