Big spacious rooms, somewhat updated and clean. Nice gym area and outdoor pool / common area was closed but looked nice for summer.
At first when I pulled in my expectations dropped and when I was directed to the motel side of the property I wasn't excited but the rooms was good and was not bothered by any noise from other guest.

Location was great for the Notre Dame event we were there for. We were traveling with other family members which also stayed there. I think in total there were 5 rooms for all our family. Room was super clean, and breakfast was a bonus.

there were a few birthday parties going on and lots of unsupervised kids screaming and running around the pool. lots of mold growing in the pool area ceiling dripping water off the ceiling. later in the evening the fire alarm was pulled by a child or burnt popcorn not really sure what happened. that was scary!

Went for Norte Dame football game. The college experience is awesome! The entire campus was beautiful and memories for a lifetime. Everyone there so friendly. Best places to eat are all around the college. Yes there is a lot of low income areas close by, but that is this entire country.

Very clean downtown, river walks are nicely kept. Lots to do and places to visit, everyone we met seemed friendly enough and the restaurants were good. (PEGGS for breakfast was great). Beautiful homes around the area we stayed. Notre Dame was well worth visiting.

This is a great place to stay if you're going to a Notre Dame Football game. It's about 15 minutes from campus, clean , comfortable, has a nice breakfast & very reasonably priced. We will definitely stay here again!
Checking in was a breeze. The house was well stocked with basic things like toilet rolls, kitchen towels and even some toiletries. The kitchen had basic things like seasonings, coffee and tea, etc and pots of different sizes for cooking. Loved the pool, the entertainment options for everyone (from board games to gaming and TV options) and the location.
When issues with the house came up, the hosts did their best to resolve them in a timely manner.
The restaurant (Rohs?) serves outstanding food, it’s like fine dining for a reasonable price.
Shame the full menu wasn’t on for food or drinks and we weren’t allowed outside so got really loud and cold. (Always seems to happen to us)

This is a new hotel, and it shows. Everything is bright, clean, and spacious. The breakfast was pretty typical but was fresh and neat, with an expanding area in which to eat. The king-sized bed was extremely comfortable. The room was quiet. And it was a normal temperature without a need to have a fan running all night. Excellent value.
We enjoyed our stay there and came in for a play at the Morris Theater downtown. The hotel was close to Notre Dame University and only a few minutes away from the play. This location was ideal for this event and our first experience to South Bend. Would stay here again.
The location was convenient to traveling to the university and downtown area. The breakfast was good, but ran out quickly as a result of a big crowd for the football game. Should have loaded Ed up on cooking more food and then heat up so people did not have to wait
What is it there to like about it, everything was exactly as we remembered it from the last time we stayed, but the fact that they close the hot tub was a real downer and it’s going to affect our decision decision making when deciding to stay in South Bend again
Avanti is a thematic lodging, if you like cars and the history related to that brand, this is your place, anyway, the attention and comfort of being in the center of the city is quite nice because you have everything at hand.
The hotel smelled strongly of smoke and marajuana. The room carpet had a huge bleach stain in the middle. The window seat pillow was stained and filthy. The halls were dirty. There was no hot breakfast offered on Friday.
the staff was very kind. We stayed easter weekend and it was nice to see the hotel arranged an easter egg hunt and photos with the Easter bunny for guests and the local community.
The location was fine and when we had a problem with our shower in the morning , it was rectified immediately. The price was half what a few other hotels in the area cost.
