The breakfast room was a bit warm, not uncomfortable, but could be a bit cooler. The staff were obviously local folks who were very friendly. We will stay again.

This is a quiet port in Texas, if you are looking for a spot to sit quietly by the water, reading and hanging with family and friends. Or other rental options would allow a large family gathering for a reunion or wedding. A small marina is located with additional rental options. Fishing is the past time.

They need more activity for kids and family.
They need more activity for kids and family. They need to advertise more thing in the motel to do beside go to the beach. I been there twice and just noticed it was a movie next door. I could have went to movie instead of sitting in the room.

This is a nice clean No-nonsense room for a great price.
This is a nice clean No-nonsense room for a great price. There was internet/Wi-Fi . You can see the Gulf across the road from your room. The room had a small table, microwave and a frig that had a separate freezer.
No carpet in the room for those who have allergies.

Small town and sportsman friendly. Not much else.
Small town and sportsman friendly. Not much else. Its got the obligatory WalMart/Fast Food/ local food. Magnolia Beach (about 10 miles) is a nice quiet beach. Can park right up to water.
The locals are amiable. About 50/50 on wearing masks. The businesses seemed to follow rules, but did not enforce on their patrons
There is a Buc-ees.

I loved it here.... 1st timer... everything was close by and convenient. Plenty to do all day fun. I loved all the beaches and places we went to. The Mexican food was good as well. I recommend El Patio (even tho they forgot the cheese) and La Corona to go.

My son and his family live in Port Lavaca.
My son and his family live in Port Lavaca. They love it there. The town has all the stores I go to at home. They have just about any kind of restaurants with the food you would like to eat. Plus all the fast foods.
It's a small town but is only 25 miles from Victoria which is a bigger city.
Houston is 1-1/2 hours away going east and Corpus Christi going west. 2hrs from San Antonio. I can see myself retiring there.
I Just like the location rest every thing was bad and for that when I complaint at the hotel counter , they dont care and found bad behaviour from them. They said talk to Booking.com we dont know anything. MEANS I dont understand Booking.com is just selling your rooms , property is yours , you are responsible for your property.
The beds were super comfortable. Port Lavaca is a smaller coastal town so no traffic the hotel was close enough to everything and my husband had great luck fishing on the back of the hotel. Plus the cable selection was really nice.
was very nice and clean was right on the beach they had a lighted fishing pier very very close the host were amazing to work with left extra blankets and pillows to accommodate our group
