We ate at the restaurant and the breakfasr was excellent! It was a little pricy but we expected that. We enjoyed the convenience of not having to travel to eat. The orange juice was excellent!

Loved our view and roomy balcony. Very much enjoyed the well manicured grounds and the credit back each day to be used at the restaurant! That really came in handy when we wanted a snack or did not want to drive anywhere.

Centrally located, my 88 yr old dad loved to waffles for breakfast, the staff gave us a 1st floor room for the disabled, which was perfect. For example, the grab bars in the bathroom were VERY important for dad. The lady of provided breakfast made a dinner time recommendation to us and went the extra mile when I needed her help with a small box to carry some of our things.

We've been vacationing here for many years. It's a great time. The beaches are stunning. It's very touristy, but that's expected. My kids are grown now so we came in August this year instead of June or July, and it was awesome. Way less crowds and hardly any families with younger children. Nothing against that but mine are young adults now so it was a nice change of pace to not have to share the hotel pool with lots of little ones, and the restaurant crowds were almost all adults. Weather was perfect.

Fort Walton Beach area was amazing! From Beal House, there were highly rated restaurants almost right across the street and/or around the corner. Hightide and Stewby's Seafood Shanty lived up to the online reviews! Exceptional seafood, casual dining restaurants. Quick/Easy to get to Publix and even a Winn Dixie grocery store. There were two boardwalks within 5 miles of Beal House: Okaloosa and Harborwalk Village boardwalks. Harborwalk offered boat tours and shopping. We booked the Seablaster boat tour during the day and it was the best activity about our trip to Florida! It was a family friendly boat tour of the Gulf with free drinks (beer/wine, sodas, water) and positive music - the "boat dudes" were very entertaining! Just know they are requesting tips at the end of the boat ride - they were so good they totally deserved the tips. We had sightings of the dolphins throughout the tour! Again, FWB was not only the perfect location for access to shopping, events, tours, but the beach itself was clean and serene!

There are a variety of attractions available to do. The sugar sand beaches and amenities available were great. There are a number of restaurants of all sorts that are available and in the area. Traffic can get congested during certain hours of the day.

Was not impressed with beach, too much seaweed and dead fish washing in. No seashells whatsoever, water was not clear. Was not worth the extra drive from home. Next time will go to a different beach or stay in SC

Traffic is an un-Godly nightmare, so you are good to go if you do not leave your resort. If you do leave, for any reason, plan on bumper-to-bumper traffic that crawls along at 3 MPH. McGuire's in Destin is fantastic. AJ's in Ft. Walton Beach has fab crabcakes.

We love Fort Walton Beach it is beautiful! It has everything you could want close by great food and activities for the whole family. We really enjoyed the fresh seafood at Stewby's Seafood Shanty and pizza at Lost Pizza. And if you would rather eat in your condo there is a Publix Supermarket really close.

Room was very nice and clean and had everything needed for my stay. Bed was comfortable and extremely roomy for one person. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to see how close a couple of restaurants were to the hotel. On my first night, since I was tired from driving, I didn't want to venture too far. I found an Olive Garden across the street just a little distance from the hotel. This worked out perfectly for me.
There was an operable elevator to the 3rd floor rooms. I appreciated a smoking room option. A room was available last minute when all other hotels were booked. The room appeared to have been somewhat recently updated, wasn’t horrible inside.
location is good , not on the beach , just a short walk , perfect for a couple , nice and roomy. just a short drive to destin beach for any boat activities.
