I wasn’t expecting the hotel to have so many amenities. The onsen was really nice and very much needed after a long day of traveling. I also thought all of the facilities were clean and the capsule room was much bigger than I expected.

Bustling and thriving, really cool underground mall / restaurant alley next to the JR Okiyama station. Many dining options in that vacinity. I was only in town for eighteen hours, barely saw anything but had a nice visit on my way to the ultimate destination.

Very beautiful and underrated area of Japan. All the sights were lovely and it’s a good area if you’re interested in history, and leisure outdoor activities. I’d recommend really planning out your time since the transportation isn’t as frequent as Tokyo and lots of places close pretty early around 5/6pm.

There were beautiful gardens in the city including the wonderful botanic garden. The castle was also interesting. In addition, Okayama is a wonderful place to stay with day trips to wonderful cities/sites such as Hiroshima, Kurashiki, Naoshima or Himeji Castle.

Besides having a few interesting sightseeing options of its own (castle, Korakuen garden), Okayama is a very convenient place to stop for a few days because it's close to other popular places to visit (Kurashiki) and a gate to visit northeastern Shikoku

Okayama itself is worth visiting to see, but it's especially good to use as a hub as it connects the north, south, east and west of Japan via the Shinkansen and local trains. It's particularly great as a base from which to explore Shikoku via day trips.
For a "capsule" hotel, this completely exceeded my expectations. The capsules are more like mini-rooms, with actual walking space, so it didn't feel cramped at all. And the bathroom facilities are plentiful, spacious, and clean, making me feel very comfortable to stay in a place with shared spaces like this despite the pandemic. And the breakfast was very good. The location is also fantastic, only a few minutes walk from the station and right in the middle of a lively shopping street (but it isn't noisy in the hotel at all!).
The hotel was approximately a fifteen minute walk from Okayama train station. The staff were very welcoming. There was a bar on the ground floor with free alcohol, whiskey, gin, bicardi and schnapps. Soft drinks and coffee also available.
There was a onsen at the hotel for guests.
The breakfast in the morning was lovely, so much choice. The hotel was an approximate thirty minute walk from the castle and five mintue walk from restaurants and bars.
The room was incredibly spacious, the largest I've ever had in Japan! The hotel's location is excellent, it has many stores, restaurants, cafés and the Okayama Station is walking distance. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and they offer many washing machines with hangers available for added convenience. The hotel also had a mini museum in each floor, I think that was a wonderful touch!
A hotel catering to tourists. Everything a bit bigger than a standard business hotel room: bigger bath, bigger room, bigger flat screen TV (positioned to be comfortably watched while in bed). Location was a short walk to train station, and on a tree lined canal giving a good ambiance. Tourism info provided in room.
I only interacted with staff at check-in, so, not much to rate.
Very good location! I can walk from the JR Okayama rail station via the shopping centre and then through the lobby of another hotel to Mitsui Garden Hotel. The price of the hotel is very competitive. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful, and they can speak good English. I would recommend it to other travelers traveling by JR train.
I loved the hot baths on the top floor, went every night. Free ice creams, drinks (hot chocolate, coffee, coke, Fanta etc.) it was amazing. Didn’t realise all this was included.
Location was great, in the hun and the city and only 10ish minute walk to the train station.
This hotel is equipped with private shower and toilet. Comfortable beds and basic facilities. Located near Okayama Castle and to reach Okayama Station is either by walking or by tram. What I like the most is the price. Very very reasonable and totally worth the price.
The hotel is right next to Okayama castle and garden and two tram stops away from Okayama station so location wise it was great. The hotel itself is very dated. The room and bathroom look like they’re from the 1980s. They will make the room everyday but not your bed.
Staff were all friendly and very helpful .
The location is great not too far from station and also tram station for Korakuen garden and Okayama.
Plenty of lovely restaurant and bar kitchens around .
Will definitely consider to use this friendly hotel again .
Loved how it was so close to the Okayama station, food, supermarket and trams. We ended up coming back to Okayama and stayed for 4 days just to chill out. Everything was easy, cheap food and the people are really nice and helpful.
One thing I particularly loved about Livemax Hotel Okayama was the excellent location. It was just a short walk away from train stations and several shopping centers, making it incredibly easy to explore the city and nearby areas.
Great proximity for the station. Grand hotel with very attentive staff and spacious bedroom and bathroom. Good city view. Great location for walking to Korakuen gardens and hopping on the train to explore Kurashiki
Food location. Not far from AEON mall and city center.
During 18.00 - 20.00, hotel give you a glass of beer or an alcoholic beverage for free 😁🥂.A massage chair is provided free of charge at the lobby.
Breakfast was a delicious buffet with a view of the whole city! Location was incredible with the hotel essentially attached to the main train station in the city as well!
