The offered breakfast for Y1,000 was fantastic. Filling and a range of Japanese breakfast offerings. Location was good, with a bus stop right on the corner of the hotel location. Bus could take us into the city centre or up to the snow lifts but stops at 5pm, keep that in mind. Host was fantastic, always friendly and helpful service.

Nozawa Onsen was readily accessible by fast train and a bus...

Nozawa Onsen was readily accessible by fast train and a bus. The Village had good amenities including a variety of eating venues. A free shuttle bus went around the town and to the ski fields every 15 minutes. The ease between getting between the Village, ski fields and accommodation was exceptional. There was even a travellator for going up to the snow and back to the town. The snowfall was excellent particularly as our visit was late in the season in mid March.

Amazing ski resort with great snow and very friendly personnel. Everything worked nicely and the small town center is lovely. Streets can get narrow so make sure you have parking in advance if going by car. Also check distance from ski lifts.

Beautiful, clean inn with wonderful hosts.

Beautiful, clean inn with wonderful hosts. Great common premises, especially the kitchen, which is great for breakfast (you can buy coffee pods at cost from the host). The futons were very comfortable. We hope to return! Recommendation for future guests: try to make reservations for restaurants for your entire stay once you arrive (and the inn staff can help) to avoid lining up in cold weather.

Stick to businesses owned and operated by local Japanese. Those owned by foreigners are often over-priced with inferior service....sure you might get to speak English, but stay home if that's important...;)

Amazing and cute little village! Ski hill is great too (needs a bit more English signage). Be sure to book any of the nicer/better restaurants way in advance! These book out quickly (Aussies book these places out!)

An amazing and authentic Japanese experience. The rooms were brilliant and the Onsen was next level luxury. Made the whole ski experience a pleasure being just a short stroll from the Yu road travellator access. Highly recommend it

This is a really great place for a trip with friends to Nozawa Onsen. The staff were amazing - they helped me organize everything with booking restaurants and organizing sending my luggage home. The owners are a couple and super friendly - I had a great chat with the lady and she recommended staying at a nearby campsite in the summer. Room was super clean and bed was really comfortable. I also liked the lounge area which is nice for warming up with a coffee or tea after you come back. I would definitely come back here next time.

This is my second times to stay here, The location is very good. You can walk to Nozawa Onsen (Chuo Terminal) in 5 minutes. This is important for people who are carrying large luggage and have to walk from the bus stop to the hotel, because it is not easy to drag luggage in the snow. And Located in the busier area of Nozawa, it is very convenient for dining and many public onsen around. Here is my first option while I stay in Nozawa. The overall price ratio is very high.

Our family loved this house. Great location in town, onsen right across the street. A super nice 500 yen onsen 5 minute walk. We were a family of 5 with an elderly 88 grandmother who had the downstairs bedroom and upstairs there were 2 bedrooms. Yuki our host was great! Our sons went snowboarding and Yuki got them set up with the gear and they stored each day up the by lift. They have the best powder skiing ever! Such a great experience. Mahalo to Yuki-san.

Traditional Japanese accommodation. The lady who runs this place is very sweet and did everything she could to assist us, despite us speaking no Japanese and her speaking little English. The in-house onsen is great to soak in after a day of skiing. The laundry is free for guests to use and washing powder is provided. We did not have breakfast included in our booking, but we took a peek at the breakfast on offer and it looked and smelled delicious!

Kadowakikan was excellent value for money for a 4 night stay in Nozawa Onsen. The owner was extremely helpful with information and recommendations, plus discounted lift tickets. It was easily accessible to the quad lift to access the whole ski resort. The Japanese-style room was large, quiet and clean, with a safe for valuables, plus a beautiful view of the mountains. Thank you for a lovely stay

Very clean, high quality well finished Japanese style tatami room. A few hundred meters walk from Nagasaka Centre and Gondola (the main gondola for Nozawa Onsen ski resort). Bathroom was shared but you book the time to have it privately. There are two shower/tub bathrooms. There are toilets and hand Nadine upstairs near the bedrooms. There is a very nice very small sauna.

Fantastic location balanced nicely with a short uphill walk to the gondola and a short downhill walk to the main part of the town. Room was larger than I expected for Japanese mountain hotel. Large drying room for both gear and clothes with a separate street side entrance. Easy to use large parking lot next to the Hotel.

Hotel is close to ski gondola, staffed with locals (Nozawa onsen otherwise feels more like Australia thanks to many season workers). Room feels cozy and bed is very comfortable. Hotel has a vending machine with alcoholic beverages (beer, strong...) which is a feature as restaurants in the village generally close early.

The location was centralized to many tourist attractions, restaurants, and onsens. Very kind, courteous, and accommodating family owned establishment. A different breakfast spread each morning, equally delicious each day. Our stay at Nozawa Onsen was amazing, in large part to our stay at Togoro.

Mr. Kadowakikan was super friendly and helpful. He picked us up and dropped us off at the shuttle bus stop. He helped us order rental ski/snowboard equipment to the hotel. The hotel's own onsen was very clean and more comfortable than the town's free onsens.

The bedding was good. I love Japanese style and it was good thickness. Few onsens are around (walking distance) but didn’t really need to go out for bath as they had big bath at the hotel. It was nice and easy, warm and not too busy like public onsens.
