This accomodation was the perfect home base to walk the Nakasendo. The accomodation was very nice and beautifully furnished. We had a lot of space for our luggage and also a parking lot in front of the house is provided. The communication with the host and all the organisation worked perfectly. It was a wonderful experience living in a property that’s about 150 years old. We had the whole property to ourselves, and the facilities provided such as the kitchen and provision of coffee was great. The owner was kind to give us a tour of the property as well.

This was a lovely Japanese style house. We loved staying here. The birds in the backyard were so nice to listen to and spot. The record selection was really interesting and enjoyable. Takashi was a wonderful host.

The design of the hotel is simple yet sufficient, in fact very comfortable. Things are compact, and designed in a way that brings comfort n enjoyment! no frills - i like the rules to take off our shoes at entrance n deposit them at the locker. it keeps the compound v clean. The rooms are compact, a little small but has space for us to lay out our luggage n find our stuff. nice thot to keep the sink in room instead of toilet, easier to access if u r not in the bathroom.

Visited three areas this time: Narai-juku/ Tsumago-juku/ Magome-juku: all are very nicely reserved areas and the hotel is located close except for Narai-juku (70km away). Had a 100% Soba twice at lunch nearby : both are very good. Dropped in several Michi-no-Eki and bought local foods and items at half of them.
