Compared to the area, a great value stay. Dinner was reasonably priced with larger servicing. Shared bathroom was clean and bathing room well cared for. A few games in the dining room helped pass the time after dinner before bed. Dry room was handy for all of the ski gear, and parking was free.

My friend and I had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this hotel. It's a family establishment run by Satoshi and his wife, along with their two small children, with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location can't be beat with a five minute walk to the Ishiuchi Maruyama gondola. Satoshi and his wife were incredibly kind hosts, providing me and my friend with pick-up from Echigo Yuzawa Station (multiple times since we arrived and departed at different times!) as well as transportation to Maiko Ski Resort. They also rented out snowboarding gear and provided breakfast for extremely reasonable prices. I would recommend this place 10 times out of 10 and have every intention of returning myself in the near future. サトシさん、誠にありがとうございます！

Great hotel to stay in Echigo Yuzawa area! Room was spacious and clean, with very comfortable beds. Tasty breakfast buffet with many choices of both japanese and western food. We went to both public and private onsens and both were great, I recommend reserving a private onsen if it's available, it has beautiful view over the mountains. Staff was very helpful and polite. It's also convenient that the hotel offers transfers to and from train station, ski resort and restaurants in the evening. Highly recommend!
The location a little bit far, you must go there by taxi or shuttle from the hotel but i really like the ambiance its quiet, you can feel the country side, and when its snow theres a place in front of the hotel to play and there some scenerr. The owner lives there too they are very kind, the breakfast could be more improve but the dinner really delicious, thank you haru san and family for taking care of me and family.
The place had a great atmosphere and the food was prepared superbly. The hotel was nice enough to accommodate my wife’s vegetarian diet. The place is moments away from ski resorts and are happy to provide rental gear and shuttle trips to the resorts. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. Perfect place for the price they are charging.
Very affordable! There is no staff to assist but you just have to follow the instructions to get the key.
The building exterior might not be that pleasant but the interior and facilities are good and clean. Best for those who want to save their budget. There is a free parking infront of the hotel. The toll gate is very close.

This is a really good place for solo travelers. The Saunas are exceptional I enjoyed those and the view of gigantic mountains is pleasant. last but not least the staff of this hotel is really kind and helpful.
This family run ryokan is great value for money and the hosts go above and beyond for their guests! We had an amazing weekend, attending Fuji Rock festival in the vicinity with the hotel offering us free shuttle service to and from the nearest train station and tips about the surrounding area.
Our family love quiet place and Koguriyama sanso is the answer. Got lots of energy from beautiful nature and good breakfast with mountain view. Many yummy restaurant in Muikamachi. Hotel owner reply our massage very quick and take care us for many things. Thank you Koguriyama sanso team.
Just in front of Ishiuchi gondola sunrise express, generally good location, plenty of empty space for us to play snow. Free tea and coffee at the hotel public area 24x7. The owner also send us to the train station and gave my kids souvenir which make them so happy and memorable
The hot bath was very nice and relaxing. The restaurant offered tasty food and we could wash our clothes in the hotel. We travelled by bicycle. The hotel was totally prepared for this and offered us even a room to dry our stuff. The staff was exceptionally nice to us.
