Older hotel in a quaint, cute mountain town between lakes Como and Lugano. The rooms are very basic and no-frills, but clean and the staff is friendly. Good value for the price, good breakfast with a variety of pastries, eggs, cold cuts. Very quiet, awesome view, short walk to the town square.

Very nice Bed & Breakfast in a lovely village. Comfortable parking lot in front of the building. Nice breakfast served 8-10 am. Unfortunately we enjoyed it only once during our 3-night stay since we started our days earlier for hiking and for getting to the airport. We got great breakfasts in the center of the village where bakeries and coffee shops were already open at 7 am. Friendly and helpful owners- kindly reserved a nice restaurant for our dinner. We did not bring shampoo or soap with us- the owner explained that it is not customary for a B&B to provide these but kindly gave us some.

The location was nice. It would have been much better with a view of the water, but our room had no view. The restaurant downstairs was nice as well. Friendly staff.

Everyone was pleasant, the breakfast was great and the room was clean and comfortable.
With an ideal location on the shores of Lake Como, Villa Belvedere Como Lake Relais features a garden, traditional restaurant with terrace, and private parking for a fee.
Hotel La Torre is set in a historic building with garden and swimming pool, near Lake Como and Lake Lugano. Parking is free. La Torre offers guest rooms with satellite TV.
It's a cute, friendly town. Not overrun with tourists like so many other towns on the lake. Good restaurants, good bars, a great pasticceria, and good cafes. Not one bad moment! (When traveling through the town, do NOT follow Google map suggestions - if the occur - to use "small" roads. Note the different widths of roads on the maps. Only use the wider one. Narrow ones can take you to alleys you may not be able to go through.)

If you have much luggage, I would travel there by car.
If you have much luggage, I would travel there by car. Otherwise travelling by bus was really easy and inexpensive.
We ate at most of the places on the main street through the town. But our favourite meal was at Mare e Monti. They offered a great assorted seafood option.

We loved the views, in all honesty they were just spectacular. The best part of driving to the village was admiring the countryside as you got there. That being said, make sure you don't have a very wide vehicle as you drive up from the Lake Lugano side. The roads are very thin and have some sharp hairpin bends. Driving up from Lake Como is much more relaxing, using the main road. Our favourite place to eat was the Taverna Due Castagni. The food was amazing, the prices (average 11€ per course) make it superbe value for money. The staff were very patient with us, as we had accidentally turned up without booking.

A great pizza restaurant on the main square. Not much shopping for tourists seeking souvenirs but a genuine local town. Great location for accessing both lake Como and lugano. The hair pin bends are interesting!
Would recommend Porlezza on lake lugano and Pirga for the walk to the Belvedere and the funicular down to Argegno which is a beautiful little village. Great ice-cream and great views of lake Como.

Delicious breakfast: meats, cheeses, pastries, yogurt, juice. Fabulous coffee. Pleasant breakfast room, outdoor area to sit and enjoy the view. Large room. Comfortable bed. Fabulous views! Efficient staff.
What a nice place to spend some time on vacation.
Be advised that the roads up and down the mountain and Val to the hotel are intimidating at first to us Americans. We were glad we had a small car with automatic transmission. By our final day, we were driving like the locals!
We stayed just one night at Villa il Maiale Bianco, while traveling around the Como region. It was a lovely stay. The house is beautiful and the room was well equipped. The small city is quiet and we could rest and sleep well (very comfortable bed in the room). Super breakfast. The owners are also a highlight, friendly and warm. We would definitely come back.
We loved staying, beautiful view on the balcony, quite and beautiful yard, not far from Como by car. Free available parking, clean and comfortable room. Hotel personnel is polite and helpful, breakfast is traditional and good, it's hard to find eggs in Italy for breakfast (we changed 7 hotels). Elevator is a bonus for big luggage :)
Very nice and comfortable hotel with an elevator (it's important). Very clean and pleasant. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a number of windows, including the roof window, and this added a lot of light. The breakfast was regular and good, with enough cheese and ham, eggs, yoghurts, tasty fresh croissants, good coffee etc.
The hotel is in a very very good location with plenty of hike opportunities around the building. The food was also made with produces from the building itself and you could taste it in the dishes! It's a very interesting experience as well with the way getting there and eating dinner/breakfast in the restaurant at the hotel

The hotel was great with a swimming pool and lovely views from the balcony's. The room was really nice with sky lights and wooden beams. The staff were nice and friendly and the breakfast was really good with a lovely selection of bread/pastries, jams, yogurts and fruit salad.
The hotel looks new and was very cozy. Free parking, elevator availability, pretty good breakfast offerings. Located right next to the church, in a beautiful historic place. And the opposite side has a great view of nature and neighboring villages.
The location of the apartment was quite beautiful, located a bit above the center with view of the sunset from one of the kitchen windows. The village also has a ton of spots with breathtaking view.
