A pretty town, conveniently close to Verona airport. Railway station is close to town centre which has some lovely streets and plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. The canal waterfront is lovely and there is a massive square with restaurants around it.

An interesting town in its own right it is extremely popular and busy. It's in a beautiful location and we chose it because you can get the train to Verona as well as boats and buses in the local area. It has a lot of shops and restaurants but was almost too busy some of the time. You need to stay somewhere you can leave the car and walk, but also be aware that the public transport is not really geared towards tourists. Good market on Monday mornings.

Lovely town but very very tourist based and can get silly busy . As daft as this may sound, unless you want pasta of pizza for 7 days, there aren't any other real food choices in town.
We missed a boat trip that was non refundable of 110 euros because of the language barrier in explaining where our boarding point was . 110 euros !!! The guy just laughed

I prefer the south of the Lake and Peschiera has good accessible links with car, bus and train routes to further afield as well as boat excursions on the water. The town itself has most of the assets to provide a memorable vacation.

The town is entirely aimed at tourists and, as a result, while there are many decent restaurants, there are very few typical Italian trattorie and, unless you have a car, food shopping opportunities are limited. On a more positive note there are regular boats to other towns around the lake and Verona is only a fifteen minute train ride away.
For those who like themeparks, Peschiera is very close to Gardaland (Italy's equivalent to Alton Towers)

Our trip was in November and just out of season so the lake Garda ferries had stopped and many attractions were closed mid-week
The restaurants and shops were open and not too crowded which was a bonus.
The lake shore was beautifully silent and tranquil a lovely place to walk and sit before a leisurely lunch

Such friendly staff who made us feel special. The free use of bicycles was great and we cycled to Sirmione for a day out. Also cycled into Peschiera for the market and boat ride to Garda so no problem parking a car. The breakfast was superb with homemade cakes and good assortment of food. Beds were comfortable and large. Pool was a bonus and the adjoining restaurant was excellent. Our host and her mother were very attentive and helpful and we enjoyed talking to them. We came away feeling we had made new friends. Bella.

Short walk (10-15) to train station which takes you to many destinations (Venice was simple to get to and great day trip from Peschiera train station)
Boat up the lake to Lazise was fun.
Bus on street outside property to Sirmione was great (buy tickets from tobacco shop opposite fuel station on Main Street outside property)

Cute place with the pool - what can be better? We rent a small apartment (kitchen and bedroom) and are very much satisfied. Only the fridge was too small for us. And there's no underroof parking so it may be a problem when you sit to the hot car. But the pool and morning coffee on the balcony is cool.
The Mincio river and Garda lake are so close to the hotel and it's nice.
Also shops are close enough (if you have transport). And there's free shuttle to the Peschiera Train Station.
We went for a 2 week road trip through Italy and this turned out to be the most enjoyable accomodation out of all the hotels we stayed in. The rooms were even better looking than in photos, the mattress and pillows were very comfortable and both the room and bathroom were clean as new. The host took great care we are having a good time during our stay and even invited us to watch the sunset from the roof terrace with free drinks and a rainbow. Awesome!
The room, albeit small, was comfortable for our short stay. We were grateful when the hotel accommodated a change of room when our aircon didn't work (as without it the room was unpleasantly hot at night). The staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful. We visited Bardolino on the bus (bus stop a few steps away) and travelled to Desenzano on the train (station also a few steps away) so location was very convenient.
Very friendly and accommodating hostess. Plenty of room for a bigger family. Lots of toys for children to play with. Fully equipped kitchen and even a washing machine in the bathroom. Private terrace in front of the house was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the weather. Private parking in front of the house. City center in a walking distance. A really good find in Peschiera! Convenient to the train station and not in the noisy town center, the room was large, the bed comfortable, and the mini kitchen useful.
