The room was pleasant and clean. Breakfast was delicious and Sue, who seemed to be in charge was exceptionally good at her job. The room and breakfast were good value for money. I will definitely stay again.

Good location at the centre of Oakham. Some bottled water provided - probably because it would have been impossible to fill the kettle from the tiny sink in the bathroom. The shower functioned.

Unfortunately the WiFi was down on arrival so no payment could be taken which meant the pub could not open that evening. Tracy very kindly offered to make me some food Free of charge. Which was above and beyond. The hotel is very comfortable and will definitely be back when I'm in the area..
Historic but not much to see. There is an abbey but was closed owing to renovation works. It's a pretty little town to wander in but that will only take an hour or so. There are a few shops and a chemist. We were surprised by the number of restaurants for such a small place.
