Very friendly welcome, clean room. Well laid out, comfortable bed. Good location. Many additions in the room, coffee machine, toiletries and straighteners a bonus. Lovely walled garden. Will come back and recommend. Did not eat here but food looks amazing. Great location for Chapeldown winery and offer a taxi service.

We had a newly refurbished room on the second floor (the hotel is in the process of renovating) - lovely furnishings, I like their taste - very comfortable bed - a few minor things missing, but only because it was new - I am sure they will have them sorted soon.
Breakfast on the terrace felt like we were in the south of France (we were very lucky with the weather!) and the food was excellent.
You do have to pay for parking, but the fact that you can get any in Rye is pretty amazing in itself!
With Norman cellars dating back to the 12th century and secret passageways in some of its rooms, this inn offers historic accommodation in Rye.

This is a fascinating old inn, dating back to 1420. There’s a great bar with a huge inglenook fireplace. The building is a veritable warren of rooms landings. Very quirky.
The sand between your toes. Sky and beach as far as your eyes can see. Wonderful food made with love. Deeply comfortable beds in beautifully thought out bedrooms. Daily yoga and wellness classes.
