The food was amazing. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Epic little pub in a lovely area, definitely worth the small detour. A great spot to spend the night to break up the journey. This was hands down the best accommodation experience we've had in the UK so far.

'Little Heatherlea' is a cosy apartment providing most of the essentials needed for a comfortable stay.
Our host was friendly and greeted us on arrival.
The information booklet was informative with restaurants and things to do around Rothbury.
The highlight for us was having a 'King' double bed, which made getting a great night's sleep possible.

Lovely room, friendly staff couldn’t fault it. We left early for our journey home so missed breakfast ☹️But was told when we handed the key in that they would have organized a breakfast sandwich for us to take which was very nice of them. We ate in the pub and the food was great 😊
