Clean spacious room. This hotel is lovely if a bit out off the beaten track. We have stayed here before and wwere happy to return knowing wwhat we had last time.

The room was spacious, comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Drinks and snacks in the room was a nice touch. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Pub downstairs was a bonus. Late check out was accommodated.

I stayed at April House for a couple of days during my visit to Weybridge in the month of April and what a comfortable stay it was! The room assigned to me was the June room and it was very clean and comfortable. Location was excellent -right in the heart of the town - so close to nearby restaurants and the main street. WiFi connectivity was excellent too. While breakfast is not served at the guesthouse, there is always tea, coffee and cookies available in the room and there are plenty of cafes nearby to go to for breakfast. The check-in and check-out process was also very smooth and Nuala stayed in touch throughout the visit making the experience feel like I was staying in a home away from home. Thanks for the lovely stay - highly recommend April House.

This is the second time I have stayed here. Is very convenient being just a stones throw from the town centre and public transport. Clean, fresh, use of lighting and colour scheme very inviting and provides the perfect setting for a warm and cosy stay. Food available and a great English breakfast for £8.

Grew up near here and had long aspired to be a guest of Oatlands Park. What a huge disappointment.
However, Weybridge itself has many areas of beauty in close proximity, and is central to reach road, rail and air transport.

The weybridge is clean bit outdated there was a very drunk lady in the terrace who had been there sleeping from around 2pm and was asked to leave around 8pm. The top of our wardrobe was thick with dust my partner managed to see this as he is 6”3 however overall the staff were helpful place was clean. The fire alarm did wake us up at 7:30am on our last day so this wasn’t great. I would stay again as it’s convenient for Thorpe park and chessington

Very disappointing after first impression.
Very disappointing after first impression. Inadequate level of staff led to very slow food service in bar , which when it finally arrives was room temperature . Not feasible to send back because sole member of bar staff was fielding complains from other guests who had not received any food!
Raised complaint with reception on checkout . Despite being staffed by two “ managers” they were unable to deal with the matter without reference to someone else. Promised prompt attention to the complaint - but no response so far.

The walk along the River Wey is beautiful.
The walk along the River Wey is beautiful. Lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops. Waitrose and Morrisons close by.
Bit of a walk to the train station.
Busses are timed regularly and we enjoyed day trips to Hampton Court Palace and Kingston upon Thames.

We were visiting Silvermere Golf Club as it has a left handed golf shop. It is set in a lovely area just down the road from Brooklands Hotel. A lovely part of the country which I would have liked to have more time to explore.

Great hotel and location if you are visiting Brooklands...
Great hotel and location if you are visiting Brooklands Museum or Mercedes Benz World.
Be aware though, that parking is an extra cost Per Vehicle at £10 per night per car.
Breakfast was extra as we didnt originally book but was a good buffet style breakfast with lots of options.
We upgraded to a Family Room and it was huge! Well worth the extra money.
We stayed for three nights and ate in the restaurant each night. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a very good en-suite. Our welcome when we arrived was warm and friendly and this was consistent with all the staff throughout our stay. The hotel was a bit tired in a few areas, which we didn't mind, but as a major refurbishment is happening in September it will be even better.
There were good choices from the menu and we enjoyed our dinners each night.
We will stay again if in the area
The Hand and Spear is its own one of a kind hotel full of character beyond imagination. The proprietors, management and staff were very accommodating and delightfully engaging. Weybridge itself is a fantastic town with-in walking distance for a good morning stretch and to top it off the train station is situated nearby to adventure into London and back almost effortlessly.
Sadly purpose of visit was a funeral, where the post-funeral hospitality was held at the hotel. The staff handled the large number of attendees and were courteous and mindful of the nature of the gathering.
I received an unexpected upgrade to my room, which was lovely.

The host was so lovely. Cottage was lovely and so comfortable! Felt very safe and secure (especially as a solo woman) and the property was clean and spacious. Shower lovely and hot and good water pressure! In a nice quiet part of Weybridge and close to the station.
The hotel looked amazing, the rooms were spacious and had a great view of the racetrack where Mercedes do some of their testing. The restaurant was great, breakfast and dinners were very tasty and lastly all thebstaff were friendly and happy. Loved our experience.
I appreciated the location and the history. I was on a bucket list journey to the Brooklands race track with a visit to the Brooklands Museum. But there was just the Mercedes Benz experience and the museum within walking distance from the hotel.
It's still a great stay here. The post pandemic world is being catered for very well and the goodwill offered at reception on arrival was very much appreciated. It felt like Brooklands Hotel at it's best just with some subtle covid security.
The night access entrance meant we didn't have to walk through the building and disturb those eating. The room was spacious and very clean with teas and coffee trays topped up (which doesn't always happen at other hotels)
Good shower (i.e. rain shower). Wide and comfortable bed. Inviting atmosphere in the hotel. Nicely illuminated facade and easily visible from the road.
Everything was perfect. The location is just in the heart of Weybridge. The rooms are confortable and beautiful and Nuala is kind and always available.
