What a gem this place is - perfect for a family visiting the area but also wanting to switch off and drink in some nature at a slower pace. The place itself is lovely, well-appointed (TV with services, games, dishwasher etc) and comfortable, with great beds and shower - and stocked with breakfast goodies. And uninterrupted views of green fields and trees. Outside was heaven for a small explorer - trampoline, bikes to ride, trees to climb. And all of this was minutes away from some of the best family attractions around - the Winchester Science Centre, Marwell Zoo, pony riding sessions and proper pubs. Oh and communication with Shannon was perfect - there when you need anything and very considerate. Bliss.

Lovely accommodation with a lounge area and en-suite bathroom and a first floor bedroom. Clean and tidy. Staff very hospitable. Restaurant was excellent.

Tasty breakfast, albeit a little small. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed was comfy. Location very quiet and lived up to expectations. Wifi was good.

I would highly recommend visiting The Thomas Lord for an over night stay a bite to eat or even just pop in for a drink! They are very dog friendly to which is just lovely!

A chocolate box village straight out of Miss Marple! Beautiful Georgian buildings and medieval thatched cottages! The Thomas Lord pub with its characterful wood panelling is a revelation! This is why I love England so much, because of quaint beautiful places like West Meon. Set in the most glorious countryside.
