Good value room rate. It was everything I was looking for and check in was very straightforward. Location was ideal for me but that was because I was meeting a load of other people at the very same location the next morning so it was right on my doorstep.
Well placed for Peterborough and Stamford, this hotel has free Wi-Fi and free parking. The cosy bar and restaurant serves fresh food and real ale.

The view from our room that looked over beautiful green fields. Surprisingly there was very little road noise, considering its proximity to a dual carriageway.

The bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in. The shower was nice and powerful. The staff were lovely and friendly, yet respectfully professional. We were especially impressed with the bar man and the night porter.
We loved the Garden Restaurant but only found it by accident. The food was exceptional and ideal for a special occassion.
The Night Porter was kind enough to make us a special cheese board to have in our room after the restaurant had shut.
Breakfast was huge portions but still really well presented.

This is a recently refurbished old hotel which has had no expense spared to bring it up to a very high standard. The ambience is excellent, high level of finishing and comfort. Wansford is a charming old village which is very quiet. The hotel sits next to the River Nene giving a lovely peaceful rural feel. A great place to meet friends and stay.

A beautiful village that has very easy access to all the main routes. The properties in the village have great charm and elegance with not a piece of litter in site. The residents are clearly, and rightly so, very proud of their village. There is a hotel and a very inviting pub/restaurant (both dog friendly) there are also some lovely little shops and a Post Office.

The Haycock Hotel was great with a lovely cafe across the road and pub. It was also handy to have a corner shop to get the paper in the morning. There were lovely walks from the village and not too far to nearby villages with good pubs for a drink or meals. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Everything was really very good, but the whole place is VERY worn. Staff all good, evening meal (Food) very good, just a very unfriendly restaurant atmosphere. Table very plain. No music, TV on but couldn't hear it!
Was no clean path up to the reception. Don't think it had been swept for weeks?
The bed was one of the comfiest we have ever had in a hotel.
Shower was brilliant.
The breakfast staff especially, all staff were most helpful with me using my wheelchair.
Patio was nice, but, although not a hotel fault, it had had no sun until late afternoon!!
Overall, very accessible for the disabled.
Very, very amicable staff, from the receptionists to the lady cleaning the door to the breakfast room! So, so helpful.
Absolutely stunning hotel. The staff were super friendly. The receptionist could not do enough for us, gave us a guided tour, organised extra towels and just made the whole experience so friendly. Restaurant was excellent and again super staff.
The room was lovely, super clean and had all the essentials including a huge TV and coffee the shower was amazing.
The hotel has recently been refurbished and both our bedroom and all the communal areas were beautifully decorated.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel which were both excellent.
We really liked the hotel, which is conveniently located next to the A1, and will definitely return this year.
The village is pretty as well.
Super historic hotel having recently been totally refurbished sympathetically & practically. Lovely welcome, decor, luxury & comfort. A really pleasant experience & very close to the A1 for practicality.
the hotel has been refurbished over 2 years ago and is amazing. Great location, excellent facilities, professional staff who were all polite and friendly and the food was sublime.
It was all great. The staff were fantastic, the room gorgeous.
The hotel has been lovingly restored to ensure the period elements remain a feature.
It was a lovely relaxing stay
The history of the hotel. The decor following recent refurbishments. The furnishings were to a very high started. We really liked the bar and the breakfast.
This hotel has been completely refurbished to a high standard modernising but keeping its heritage.
The full English breakfast was of the highest quality
Very comfortable ground floor bedroom with doors out onto patio, excellent shower room and great bed. Rest of hotel looked stylish and newly decorated.
